Advice needed - new guy with MEP004A

Gen connection is what the generator is connected to for sync input Buss connection is the field buss sync reference Rotation is the rotation direction These settings are all for 3 phase paralleling(basically a syncroscope), an option you wont be using. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    803A on 3 phase

Usually not. Running heaters is a bit less efficient due to a lower voltage, motors will pull a bit more current (not much) but 98% of the time they will be happy. In the almost 30 years I have been doing electrical, I can count on one hand the times equipment has not been happy on 208 when...

    803A on 3 phase

    Deltas do have neutrals.

    803A on 3 phase

Short answer Wye unless there is some weird buck boost transformer 208 is a wye system and 240 is a delta system (except the high leg, thats 208 to ground). Most devices will run 208 or 240 just fine, be sure to check the nameplate and or manufacturers instructions to confirm. The...

In your application set and forget. The reason these sets have a voltage regulator out and easy is for paralleling. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

new to me MEP003a - question on fuel delivery

Fuel should come from the tank to fuel pumps E2 and E3 to the water separator through 2 filters to the injection pump. The aux pump E1 should feed through Solenoid (K4) to the tank. If your set is plumbed from E1 to the water separator, then someones made changes. Attached is the fuel...

Mep-002a and Mep-003a catastrophic damage and how to prevent it.

Lot of good info, for your bolt look up Locktite 567. It is a pipe thread sealant, We used it on a cummins engine for a similar bolt in application.

where can i buy mep003a parts?

Fleabay is a good place to look. It is probably easier if you know the NSN numbers of the parts from the TM Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

R remains constant so volt and amp have to change inversely. In operation they will ramp up and down as it works. Its its base operating voltage you need to watch. I only point it out because I had a similar situation on a 005. It looked like it would work but it kept blowing fuses. Sent...

Watt (volt*amp) so if its pushing a higher voltage and a low amperage it can push your required wattage. Now if its a lower voltage the amperage has to go up to keep the same wattage. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Another curveball to consider is the rated amperage output of the avr. Since thats what is actually doing the work and that is what the avr fuses are rated in. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
