A steel soldier out in KS had a set of deuce tracks for sale awhile back. Factory tracks are out there, but I've never seen front skis. Looks like fun.
I haven't seen any photos of GTs with claymores strapped to the outside. Seems to me that blast would knock out the truck it was strapped to. Any Vietvets here witness that method in action?
If you've never seen a live claymore detonation, it's substantial to say the least. Yes it's...
Two complete pipeline trucks from the Jack Tomlin collection were listed at $9k each a couple of years ago. I inquired about one and was told they were taking offers. The salesman wouldn't (or couldn't) answer my questions so I didn't make an offer.
Thankfully property accountability is usually a much more formal process than just wandering around checking to make sure everything is still there. Army commanders and property holders are required to check on their property at regular intervals. Must have been one jacked-up unit to not know...
Seems to me somebody would have to report it stolen before it gets listed in a LE database as stolen. My question is who reported it stolen? If DLA turned over this truck to GP for sales why was it reported stolen? Surely listing a vehicle as stolen isn't part of the usual process?

We covered up all the bumper numbers on our combat vehicles to make it harder for the enemy to track any inadvertent patterns in our movements. If you want to make bumper numbers authentic for the Iraq theater just put two or three parallel strips of OD duct tape on each end of your bumpers. :-D...
Alaska track oddity
This isn't an MV, but I thought it it was intriguing and may be of interest to this crowd as just a nice piece of American ingenuity. It's a '63 or so Chevy pickup converted into a snow machine. It's certainly creative. I don't know if it works, I spotted it during the...
Amphibious MVs are at the next level of awesome.
So, did it pass the leak test? Do you have to do the typical axle tear-down and service after swimming?
If you're looking for someone to haul your truck try B & R Trucking based out of Flint, MI. The owner Brian Stilwell hauled my truck several times, and he has hauled for several other steelsoldiers. He had the best rates I could find as long as my timeline was somewhat flexible. Give him a call...
