Those are all good reasons why I like doing the trip with my dodge and a gooseneck.
My gooseneck trailer isn't strong enough for that weight, or I would have done it already.
And I can hold 70 mph on any hill that I want to, but I take a number of those turns a bit slower. Sure makes the trip go...
Counting how slow it would be, and how many times we would have to stop for me to fix your deuce, we might not make it back in time for the convoy! lol
Three day weekend, what are those?
More like a day and a half. Sprint down there, load up, then go normal back up.
If the wheel bearings were a little better, it would just DRIVE up.
That 'part of the family' is going to ring my neck if I don't get her deuce up here soon!
Anyone have, or know of a tandem dually gooseneck trailer I can beg, borrow, rent, to go pick it up with?
Well, it looks likely that badmastard will pick it up, and potentially deliver it!
That is more then just a stroke of good luck!
Thanks again!
Otherwise, I would probably be better off making the mad dash drive out there. Not fun, but I would get to see some more roads and more bases....
Might be a bit late, but have you thought about spinning the tank around so the fill hole is in front?
Where it's at, you will have a harder time filling it, especially via fuel can.
Btw, you can use one fuel gauge, and just run a lever switch like the m818 has to view the fuel level in each...
Ok, so I won a nice looking portable AC/Heater unit.
It is listed at 4'x4'x3' and about 700 lbs. So you know this isn't a 'little' unit at all. But something that should fit in most pickup beds.
Hoping that someone could pickup this item, and give me a little more time to get down there. It is...
Wow, talk about getting blown out of proportion!
I posted with the apology because I KNEW the info had to be there, I just wasn't finding it.
It was like walking around looking for my sunglasses, and someone has to tell me they are on my head already....
I am an admin on another MV site, and I...
First place I looked was the wiki.
Even though it is simple, and NICE to have, it didn't have what I was looking for.
I was apologizing for my post, because I am normally pretty good at searching and FINDING what I want to know. My brain was just on a different track when I was searching for...
At least 6.5 amps, though a 10 amp fuse. So we know it won't be that much more either.
That larger alt won't go on the smaller mep though, or at least it didn't look like it would easily go on.
Still thinking about it, but was mainly just curious.
And now I have an idea of how long it will take...
That is definitely true. And I DID do a search on google, but the data isn't there in any form except the TM itself.
Well, it's NOW on here. So at least this thread wasn't a waste, and it should be worded well enough to show up on future searches.
Yeah, and NO WHERE on this site.
Yes, in the TM's. I would have thought this would have been brought up by now in the forums though.
Looking through tpub, it mentions that this is the same charging rate for all the MEP gensets 5kw and larger. Guess I can't swap out to a higher charge rate from a...
Heck, it took me that long to find it in that TM!
Thanks btw!
Here is the text in the TM. For future reference.
(b) Remove fuse (9, figure 4-23) and connect
a 10 amp ammeter across the fuse holder
terminals as shown in figure 4–24. With engine operating
normally at 1800 RPM, charge rate should...
