You can get a dual filter head setup if you want, there is room there for two if you wanted.
Still, much newer filter media type, easy to get replacement filters just about anywhere. And filters are much cheaper.
Oh, and if you have an air leak around one of these, you really screwed it up...
Well, after chasing down fuel leaks on the m818 for a while now, I came to the last piece of the puzzle. The fuel filter setup definitely had a couple leaks.
I made SURE the washer was flat on top, the big ring was seated properly, etc.
I have all new double wire braided hydraulic hoses for all...
To answer the original question, the transfer pump from those fuel station things will pump WMO like a mad man!
I have one, without the big tanks, just the 24v pump setup. It will pump insane amounts of fluid, and make an equally insane mess, all in a matter of moments.
BUT, they can be a PITA...
Well, my gps was reading 71 mph, but the tach was around 2300 ish. Didn't pay THAT close attention, just know that was where it topped out at.
Still, 63 mph sounds too low for 2150 rpm. But maybe my tach isn't so accurate....
Whoops, when I put the 16.00's on it...
Kind of an important fact to leave out.
It cruises well at 60 to 65 mph. But really lacks the power when I want/need it.
Ok, so the tow truck driver picked it up from the back, but removed a hob from the front tandem?
Sounds like he didn't know what he was doing...
I would have pulled the front drive shaft if I was going to do it this way.
And I AM a big tow truck driver, I tow semi's and this kind of stuff all...
Last time I did the short term, I got a months insurance from State Farm. They will not cover it themselves, but have a commercial underwriter do it for them. The big guys can usually do this the easiest.
Remember to tell them very low mileage per month/year, as that really drops the cost of it...
And you can usually get short term insurance. Some commercial type insurance would be available on a weekly basis, but most will offer a monthly basis type setup. I have done that before.
CDL A, Combination, Air Brake. That will cover what you are pulling. Then just over size permit and signage.
I have flat towed a deuce with a deuce. Not the best, but I have done it quite a bit really. That that is without the 5 ton brakes. I think it would be ok with the safety of the braking...
Also, doesn't that truck have the air fittings on the front fenders so it can be flat towed with full brakes?
You have a fairly heavy truck to tow it with, just grab a towbar and you are ready to bring it back.
I drive the big semi wreckers. So I get to haul just about everything behind it.
The A is nice because you are no longer limited to what you can drive. But with your vision issues, you have a valid point with going for the B.
I meant the learners permit. You only need to have your DOT physical and take the 'written' tests at the local DOL. The tests are pretty darn easy really, and are on a computer. So you just skip the ones you don't know, and do as many of the ones you know until you are forced to take the ones...
