I was hoping I did not need a new alternator. Cheaper Parts are more fun to buy! I like the above information easier to understand then a TM! Thanks now I can do more testing, I was going to re/do the frame ground cable connections. I copied what you said to take out to my truck tomorrow.
Using this write up to check mine out. 1995 M1078 AO 100 Amp Dual Voltage system. At the 24 V Outlet next to the batteries it is 25.38 V running and 25.22 V off. Seems low to me on the running? Battery's after 2 days of driving, starting, radio on ect they all read 12.69--12.70 volts after...
Took a bunch of kids for a slow 18 mile drive today. They were inside the Cab and 2 Adults in the back. They had big time fun riding on dirt roads. Went and picked them up at there camp site. 6 of us total just driving around off regular roads. The Kids were saying wow this is the biggest...
Thanks, OK Dawn Dish Soap first, Hot Water and my pressure washer in rinse mode tip since it is a 3800 PSI one! I will try some engine degreaser on the frame stuff in the middle of the truck below the latch and pump. Going for another drive but picking up a Dad and a couple young kids and take...
Thanks! We love it here too and it is quite. On the Loop Rd I can do 50+ MPH tests on the flat asphalt
and the dirt road has some sharp turns, steep hills and great views!
Had to burn the Hydraulic Fluid off the Exhaust Pipe so I went for a drive! Still have to have fun too with the truck! Just took a 10 mile drive around our Loop Road. We still have some trees left after the Wildfire went thru here Sept 7th 2020. 19 years after the last big one went thru. Both...
Got the nut off the Latch today. Found the seal that blew it is the smaller inside O-Ring. It is missing pieces on the O-Ring had to take a picture inside it to see. I can see the hydraulic fill orifice to make it work. The fluid was coming out where I could not see the source till now. It was...
Finely opened up a BIG Multi TM Manual for the 1995 M1078A0 completely and what a wealth of information I have been missing!@! Did see how the Cab is hooked up to lift it Hydraulically and now I understand how it and a bunch of other things work. Nothing on taking the Latch Apart. I got my...
Great thread, I think this is my problem with the latch not opening and causing the hydraulic pressure to build to high and blew a seal on the latch. The hand pump works good it can put out great pressure! Air Pump spins nice with air real and coasts down for a while till it stops. It was clean...
Yes but not right away. I really enjoy the truck but turning 70 in Oct and finding having some medical issues working on it is not easy to do anymore! Every thing is big and heavy to deal with. But having owned one is a blast to me even if only for a while.
Been home for a while and I started a Photo Album documenting things done. Photo Album Link Now the fun begins cause the weather has warmed up and I can play more!
To bad that fire ended up burning all around us and it went to my Mother in Laws cause my place was on fire! Saved it and the truck is home and being enjoyed!!
It is NICE having more then one Big Truck around going Off Road at times!
I just went for a Short Drive in my 1995 M1078 Truck Today! So NICE Outside!!! Drove to Town and back, then some. Took a couple pictures 2 miles from my home near our Kramer RAWS 2800ft Level Weather Station. Great 360...
