Most people either love a ragtop or hate it. The ones that love it are not going to buy a hardtop no matter what (unless you make it very easy to remove/install).
My guess is your market will be better up north or in high rainfall areas.
I bought a lot of deuces over the years and...

If they are selling residue trucks with the 8.3 anywhere near you I'd go for one of them.
The one in my M927A2 is great even dragging that beast around.
My friend had the one in his M923A2 turned up to 375 HP and it runs like a scalded dog.
Put some super singles on it and you can...

This falls under the same category as "There are no stupid questions but there sure are a lot if inquisitive idiots in the world".
One of my favorite responses to snide remarks or dumb questions is "it's less expensive that booze and hookers and the Boss Lady can live with it."...

I had a long conversation with a GOVPLANET rep today. He was friendly and somewhat knowledgeable about how the changeover is going to take place. The vehicles will remain where they are located and there will be GP personnel at major installations where large numbers of vehicles sell...

I'm not sure what they are basing their minimum bids on but this may keep the scrappers away if they don't think they can make a buck.
One thing this will discourage is bidding the minimum on everything on your watch list so you can see who you are bidding against (bid history box)...

I always liked the way the rear facing winch on the Pipeline Deuce was mounted. I missed a chance to get one a few years ago and have been kicking myself ever since.

Well I just signed up and the first thing I noticed is that they don't take credit cards. You have to do a wire transfer within three days of winning the auction. That means you need real money. I CAN'T HAVE NOTHIN!!!!!!!
You also only have eight days to remove the item from where you...

If you're looking for a big green hole to dump a lot of money in I know where there are two of them that can prob be bought for scrap price.:cookoo:

I always hated flying in "Schithooks". If that driveshaft breaks you're going to the basement fast. Every time I flew in one I was nervous as a whore in church.

On my first deuce I siliconed around the windows. Kept out the water but it prevented me from opening the windows when necessary.
I been driving military vehicles since 1973 and most of them leak in one or more places.
It just goes with the territory.

Sellers Remorse is one of the worse afflictions to have. I don't think a deuce would be much more labor intensive than a bus. Unless you just want the interior room to make into a hooch I'd keep the deuce. Or better yet move up to a M900A2 truck.
As I said, my goal is the ISO bed......the lockers are gravy. I love this guy to death (he is not a SS member) but he has pinched me on a couple of deals and I would like to return the favor. I have neither the time, patience or shop to transplant rear ends (broke myself of the habit when I...
He knows there is something special about the truck due to the ISO bed and he is the kind of guy that will scrap it if he don't get what he thinks he should on it.:cookoo: Some people's kids.

I have a buddy that is parting out an M927A1 that has lockers in it (Marine Corp Truck).
The cab is a rust bucket and most of the sheet metal is toast so it it beyond restoring.
He is going to keep the engine/transmission/transfer case, front axle/spring pack and the radiator.
He...

It was indeed me looking it for a spring for the springer seat base I was installing another seat on. MDMorgan gave me one off a seat he had for sale and all was well. The new seat is miles ahead of the old one and I arrived home with less aches and pains.
The SSGA Rally is the one...
