If you want to get creative you can try and find a RT-524 shell or non-working and mount a CB inside to try and keep the original look while having a radio you can use for comms.

The parts I ordered worked just fine. Only thing I did different was weld the the factory hangers onto the pipe instead of using the bolt on style hangers. I used the Walker layout diagram (list of parts for the vehicle) and then ordered those part numbers. Not sure if that made a difference...

I got everything for the 1009 (except the manifolds) from Rockauto shipped to the house for just under $400. That was clamps, gaskets, mufflers, prebent pipe, etc.

Pretty much any talk about Zombie's taking over the world, the apocalypse, or any other conversation that brings the wrong type of attention to this thread. There are plenty of forums to discuss that, we are a Military Vehicle site and want to maintain that focus.

No there was a white van that use to run around town with zombie hunting stuff all over it. They did it in a way that made it look almost like a legit vehicle. lol The best part on it was, "If you see us running, try and keep up!" lol

Do you have the white van that I use to see around Clarksville? I know that sounds vague but if it's yours you will know which one I'm talking about. lol

Gripy, I've always applied 100 foot pounds on passenger vehicle wheels. So far I haven't ever had a torqued wheel come off. Knock on wood.
