Mep-802a aux fuel pump trips breaker?

I assume your float was twisted a little and the float was binding up against the side of the tank?

    802a no power at lugs

Which motor mount is missing? One of the forward mounts towards the radiator fan? Just an FYI incase you aren't familiar, these machines only use the 2 forward mounts and the mounts on the generator head, they don't use any mounts at the 2 rearward tabs on the side of the block near the bellhousing.

Problem with Aux fuel throwing circuit breaker cb1 mep-802a

I'd pull off the rear cover to access the fuel pump. Unplug 1 item at a time and retest to observe when the problem goes away. Start with the pump itself. If the issue remains, unplug the dual float assembly ( if you're unsure of what I mean just ask ) If the issue still remains, unplug the...

803a Oil Leak after new seal ?

Agreed... I have run into the same issue before myself. Paid top dollar for OEM parts ( 6X more expensive than ebay stuff ) and received the same cheap Chinese junk available dirt cheap elsewhere instead. If they are going to sell knockoff crap, at least label and price it as such, for transparency!

MEP 006A low oil pressure light / won't generate power

S3 would not be causing your problem. As mentioned, the generator SHOULD be producing power whenever the engine is running. That power should always be present at the AC outlet ( assuming it's CB is good ) it will also always be present on the input wires of the contactor. You don't have power...

MEP-002A and MEP-003A recent Injection pump observations and warning

Proper fuel treatment is definitely the key to success these days. I've used most of the major brands of diesel treatments in the past, most recently I started using the OptiLube XPD, after reading the report someone posted here 6 months or so ago. I tell everyone I come in contact with to treat...

MEP-002A and MEP-003A recent Injection pump observations and warning

Recently I've been seeing increasing numbers of failures with the Ambac M-50 Injection pump plunger guides. This is attributed to the lower quality LSD fuel available over the last few years. The reason for this post is to alert 002 / 003 owners to a slightly different failure mode on these...

    4a032 engine trouble

That motor did come with optional electric start, but once you get it running correctly they actually start pretty easily with the rope coil.

My wife is going to kill me... :D

Good news is your wife is proficient at digging holes with the excavator...... bad news, graves start out as dug holes.... sell more and quick!

    about 5kw 60hz mep802A generator

If the HZ gage drops suddenly to zero and then the machine dies, that sounds like an electrical shut down, not mechanical engine shut down. If the engine dies due to a mechanical issue the HZ will drop as engine speed decreases. It won't drop instantly to zero and then the engine dies. As for...

    about 5kw 60hz mep802A generator

You need to determine what's causing the gage to peg itself up high before you do anything. It could be the sending unit, could be the gage itself, could be a wiring issue or even an engine problem. I'm having a little bit of a hard time understanding what you are trying to say sometimes. Is the...

MEP003A glow plug relay and alternator location

The Glow plug solenoid / relay is mounted to the rear wall inside the control cube. You can find it in the TM. There are 2 relay / solenoids mounted 1 above the other. One is the glow plug, but don't recall which, I think the bottom one. There is no actual alternator, nor is there an alternator...

    MEP-803A Crank But No Start

Occasionally you can find the real E1074 pumps for sale.... and sometimes you can find Hen's teeth as well.... but it Ain't Easy!

    MEP-803A Crank But No Start

Well be careful, The Carter P74016 as well as the other 24V Airtex numbers are not quite drop in replacements. The E1074 has a right angle built into the top of the pump. The others are all straight through. You need to rig up some 90* adapter fittings to make the straight pumps fit. It also...

    MEP-802a / 803a fuel pump connectors

Most times the old hard copy Molex catalogs would tell you the mating pin series# on the same page as the connector / pins that you located. Maybe they show the same info on-line if you look up the Series / PN of the half you located? But I would also just go with M/F .250" Fast-On connectors...

    MEP-803A Crank But No Start

It sounds like your Aux. pump is working but your primary pump ( next to the radiator on the oil filter side of the engine ) is not. The Aux pump ( hidden inside the fuel tank compartment ) will run anytime the switch is in the aux position and the tank is below about 3/4 full. Guy wants you to...

MEP003A starter grinding on fly wheel than starts

Ah, you have a new style starter without the external linkage. The original starters had external levers and pivot pins, yours looks new and should not have that issue.
