Well, that grayish smoke is most likely also an indication of low compression in that cylinder.
Given the amount of time it takes to start puffing gray I definitely thing the oil pressure is the next thing to check.
Stick a gage with a 1/8" NPT thread into the fitting near the dead crank switch...
What did you use for an o-ring? Did it come with the filter?
I think that seal is a square cut ring, not an o-ring.
It's possible that the o-ring either isn't sitting right or just not working if it's in fact supposed to be a square cut o-ring.
But I'll admit I've had the same issue and it was...
Yup, your frequency transducer is probably dead.... happens ALL the time on the 002 and 003.
Best solution is to either replace the gage with a direct reading gage which bypasses the transducer, or there are now newer transducers available for other applications that will work, it just requires...
Are you working on it in the cold or warm garage?
When you start cranking it, keep an eye on the oil pressure.
If it sounds like it's about to start but then seems to loose compression and the oil pressure is pegging up over 80 Psi your pressure relief valve may be stuck shut and your lifters...
Not sure if you tested the green AC circuit interruptor bulb, but assuming it's good and you don't have voltage at the lugs, the TM will tell you how to test both the interruptor as well as the power and ground wires that activate it.
If all the tests pass but the interruptor still won't close...
Those little synchronizer boxes are awesome... I took one off the trailer and built a PPS ( Power Plant Shed ) ;) out back.
Set it up with an 003 , 002 and an 831, all hooked up through that synchronizer.... shift on the fly and the TV doesn't even flicker!
The 831 and 002 are hooked to the...
Ok, so the whole thing was all part of the mounting clamp.
What is the black part that remaining and the ring that my green arrow is pointing to?
Is the black the actual cooler tube?
Will the ring with green arrow come off or unscrew along with the remaining Gray piece that came out of the...
With the band clamps removed, the 2 fittings that remain look a little different. is the missing larger black rubber and what appears to be 2 tan washers part of the mounting clamp? ( Red arrows )
I suspect the remaining ring ( Green arrow ) was somehow attached to the now loose coupler, but...
I have 2 of the exact same trailers... super heavy duty units, but haven't found much of a resale market, although I didn't try very hard either.
The air / hydraulic brakes and the lunette height are a bit of a down side, but I bet there is someone who could use it off-road, behind a tractor...
Very well could be a chaffed ( or chewed ) wire anywhere causing the problem.
Just have to isolate things to try to narrow it down till' you find the problem.
You are correct. CB1 is the DC breaker.... Not CB2.
It should be controlling pretty much all of your 24V system.
I'd try disconnecting the fuel pumps first.
Maybe try disconnecting the primary pump first, since the aux. pump requires you to remove the end panel around the fuel filler.
Sounds like someone mistakenly threw in an SAE flare fitting ( 45* angle ) instead of a JIC / -AN 37* angle fitting.
Might seal when used on copper, but probably not when used with that stainless hard line.
Hello and welcome. My first thought would be to unplug both fuel pumps. The primary and aux. to see if one is shorted.
As Scoobyshep mentioned.... I assume you meant the DC circuit breaker is popping??
Since this machine is new to you, first thing I would do is open the AC reconnect box and count the number of turns the fat AC lines make through the CVT assembly. If someone swapped out the AC box with an 003 box your readings will be very low.... about 1/2 what they should be.
Next thing to...
Hi Mike, sounds like your pump may have damaged the plunger guide.
I can definitely help you.
Do you happen to know if you have an Ambac pump or American Bosch?
Ambac is no problem, the American Bosch could possibly be a problem depending on what is damaged, but either way I can take a look.
You...
Check reply #46 if you are still interested in a really nice 802. I can sell it with or without the trailer.
send me a PM if interested in taking a look at it.
