    M105A2 Spare Tire Simply Mounted

I was looking at different ways to mount a full size 9.00 x 20 NDT spare tire on an M105A2. I saw the one field mod where it was mounted over the tongue and said forget that! Then I saw several trailers where the tire was mounted under a corner of the trailer used an M35A2 bracket but it kind...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Went to a car show today

    Waxahachie, TX car show.

So what was on your poster board on the front of the deuce? Specs? History? Just info about Wounded Warriors? I'm going to a car show tomorrow and thinking about making something like that with some general info about the truck so I don't have to answer the same questions.

ABERDEEN 2013 (only 365 days away)

That was a rumor I read about on here. The VA, MD, etc. people are against it. The reason for the move being suggested is Carlisle is a lot cheaper than the Aberdeen location. I don't think it will happen based on what I read. I hope there are more vendors and truck to look at next year!

    Deuce locking fuel cap

I was thinking about drilling a hole in one of the tabs on the fuel tank cap, then padlocking a chain to it which would be bolted directly to the frame behind the fuel tank. The chain would be tight so that once the lock was on the cap couldn't be turned.

Cut open coolant filter from the deuce

I had the same problem. I ended up welding a piece of small square tube about 8" long to the plug and twisting on that to get the stuck buggers out. They were really stuck!

    Waxahachie, TX car show.

Congrats! Was that a suggestion box I spotted on the front bumper there? haha Nothing beats the first car show buzzinhalfdozzin (Pat) took his M818 to. He had just purchased it, and took it to the car show, poor paint and old NDTs and everything, and he was parked next to a real show winner...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Let me know if that helps. My tires wear the same. Seems to be the "norm".

M105 and M101 plug wire swap

I'm going to post a wanted ad for the right cable if I don't have a spare on my 103 sitting out behind the garage I can steal.

M105 and M101 plug wire swap

Do the M105 and M101 share a common trailer wire from the chassis connections to the truck plug? I'm fixing up my 105 and I purchased a 101 cable and it seems to be about a foot or so shorter. When I loop it through the hand loop by the pintle hitch it won't reach back to the u-bolt where it...

    Hydro-Pneumatic Bed Crane

Well I sold my 3 piece canvas cargo cover and got a vinyl camo cover and SURPRISE, my canvas cover was an extended height cover, at least 8" taller than my new cover, so now my bed crane won't fit under the cover by about 5" BUT I have a plan! The bed crane has a 2-5/16" diameter 14" long shaft...

    ABERDEEN 2012 ( Only 192 days away)

I thought everyone was nice that I met but it did stick out in my mind how 1 guy selling uniform accessories and de-milled or replica weapons was using the "F" word every other word, very loudly, and I heard him one time saying how much he wanted to kill the head honcho in Washington. I'm 23...

    Hydro-Pneumatic Bed Crane

Hay you made good points, and I can't take credit for the flow control orifice. That was on there when i got it.

    Hydro-Pneumatic Bed Crane

Thanks for the good post. I wasn't planning on throttling with those valves, because they are cheap valves, which is why I set the orifice so that operation is very slow. That way the valves are open or closed and also that non-linear movement I will have will be less of an issue.

    Hydro-Pneumatic Bed Crane

I did some simple plumbing, filled the reservoir with ATF, greased the base, and adjusted the orifice on the lower line that controls speed to make it nice and slow lifting. I like it! I thought it was ready for paint and mounting then testing BUT I found out it needs shortened about 4" to fit...

    ABERDEEN 2012 ( Only 192 days away)

I only saw 2 or 3 bobbers, vs maybe 20 whole trucks. This was my first MV rally/swap meet, and I was told this was a lot more flea market and swap meet than it was a rally. Attendance seemed low, vs what I expected. It was worth it just to see the trucks, meet a forum goer or 2, and see the...

    ABERDEEN 2012 ( Only 192 days away)

I got the camo cargo cover for my deuce and a ladder for the bed today. I had no luck finding a camo cargo cover for my 105 trailer. Anyone coming tomorrow with one?

    M135 Brake problem, please help.

Hey Brad, it's Josh! In TM 9-8024 Part 3 of 4 linked below by Plowboy, pages 82-100 cover troubleshooting and replacing parts in the service brake system. It sounds like you already got the air pack out, so that isn't much help, but there are some tests for air pressure in the system that...
