As my son said on the way out of the park -
"When's the next one, and why don't we do these more often ?"
Sign me up for the fall.
While a new place would be interesting, the ability to get the whole park to ourselves and camp there as well is a huge benefit !
Get some penetrating oil on the fittings now !!!! Just did mine, all had 1987 dates on them. The rears came off without too much drama, the the 3 fronts were stuck-stuck-stuck, and the one from the frame to the front axle is tough to get to on the frame rail end.
Don't forget to use a flare...
I (and son) will see you guys at the museum Saturday morning:(. I'm going to have to bring the Expedition, so we'll park in the civi parking. Planning on heading back over to the off-road park with everyone else, if we do some trails we'll be looking to bum rides ! (Although the Expedition...
Note that as the transmission gets hot (like after 30 mins at freeway(ish) speeds, in my case) a lot of them will puke oil out the front shaft "seal" into the clutch bell housing if they have been filled to the recommended level. A bunch of threads on this. Biggest problem is possible...

And I try and drive mine down (just outside back gate of NASA) ~once a week when its up and running. It started leaking at 2 of the wheel cylinders on last weeks trip, hope I can get them...
Epoxied rare earth magnets to the bottom of mine, didn't want to drill holes in the hardtop. Plus a double sticky closed cell foam gasket around the bottom of each light, to keep from trapping water against the hardtop. Still on nice and tight 1.5 years later.

More details on the Friday swap meet ? Any use in showing up mid-afternoon on Fri, or will all the good stuff be gone ?
I have not done it, but from the manual-
If you want the full manual, PM me an e-mail, it is scanned and pretty big. (I will try and clean it up / make the file smaller tonight.)
Added a third seatbelt, I think I used a leftover one from a Triumph.
If you end up breaking the glass in the window, the whole assembly comes out, and then the frame can come apart. Mine leaked like a sieve around the window, so I pulled it out to put in a gasket. Check that the hardtop or...
cover and clean sides
You still have the metal covers over the lights ? No light should come out of the front of the panel. Even the brights and air shift should only show a little dot in the center of the cover.
If your covers are missing, paint or tape the lenses over. Then clean the...
The aluminized bubble wrap works very well, I've used it in several old British cars and the Deuce. It is sort of fragile, I've always covered it with something. Carpet in the British cars, and I used those 2'x2' interlocking foam mats for the Deuce (cut to fit tight, and stiff enought not to...
In case anyone needs the information about those switches, the manufacturer appears to be

I've been looking at this as well, and have some related questions.
Any reason for the pin/sleeve over the NEMA blade type ? The sources I've found for the pin/sleeve connectors are expensive !
Theoretically (I realize it wouldn't meet code), could a pair of slave cables be used ? The wire...
Adjustment procedure is in the TM, now that I actually have seals in the hardtop joints, I need to adjust the door windows to fit, but I'm waiting until I get the new weatherstrips installed.
leaks
In the continuing battle to keep some of the heat out of the deuce (a2) for summer use, I've been sealing up the holes and adding insulation. Still need to replace the windshield and door seals, but have done the hardtop seals, which dramatically reduced the amount of water coming into...
