I am trying to get glass dimensions for many MVs. I run a glass tempering plant and have CNC cutting tables for laminated glass. I have the dims for M35 windshield. can anyone get me more dims for M38, M38A1, mutts etc? I just got a CCKW windshield I'll use as a template.
I am trying to get the windshield glass dimensions for these jeeps. I am planning to reproduce them for SS members etc.
If anyone can get me the exact dimensions including corner radiuses, I'd greatly appreciate it. thickness also so I can verify I have the right glass.
I plan to make some...
I did quite a few of these with the same problem. sit down with your favorite beverage:beer: and some very sharp exacto blades and carefully scrape the paint off. it comes off very easily and as long as you don't drag the blade, it won't scratch it. Patience my friend, Patience...
i shot my truck outdoors. had issues with direct sunlight otherwise no issues. I also wet the ground around the truck before painting to keep the dust and overspray down.
WOW. I was watching those trucks and, although I'm not ready to pull the trigger, I did notice what a nice truck that one was. Great score! Too bad Quicy is so far from Sac. I'd say we can get together.
Nice work on the truck...I love the mods...
Regarding the gun mounts, am I correct that you now have 5 mounts in the truck? Why have dash and door mounts? The reason I'm asking is that I have a NOS pair of gun mounts and am deciding where to mount them in the truck.
The carshow was fun...not a huge turnout but we did collect over $160.00 for Wounded Warriors Project.
The Indian was quite the crowd pleaser especially when I fired it up for a quick ride around the show.
Hopefully we can get more Nor. Cal. folks to join in.
Hey fellow Nor. Cal. members.
I've got another event for us to attend this weekend in Woodland CA. There is a car show Sunday and they would like an MV display. I'm bringing the Deuce, the 1008 and the 1941 Indian. 5-Ton Larry is bringing his M813.
I'd like to invite others to hang out...
Besides bending the bars a bit, take a small file and file a knotch/tooth on the small diameter part that goes in the hole up near the flange. When you install the bars, the knotch/tooth will catch the sheetmetal of the door frame. This will keep the bars from bounching out.
