    XM757, items wanted

Guess I should'a looked at this thread sooner. I have a rebuilt -2 engine in the can and a rebuilt pump w/ the solenoid. Oh well. Bjorn, also check with a friend of mine, Ian Fryatt at www.Phoneix1.ca He has a XM7xx that he put an expandable body onto. I'm going to see him next week and I'll...

    M816 power questions

Mine was very difficult to start in the cold untill I added a block heater. As far as power, I don't know, seems like the pump needs to be turned up more. The stock primary fuel filter is prone to pull air at the o-ring. Jeff

    M816 power questions

So has your truck always been under powered or has it lost power since you've owned it? Jeff

    M816 power questions

Are you guys running stock springs and fuel buttons in your injection pumps? I picked up a purple sping and a #18 fuel button but I haven't had a chance to put them in. My M816 just keeps 53mph on the flat. Jeff

A few Pics from the DMZ

RE: Cooooool It must be a better tow/lift bar than the HEMTT's. I watched a Guard guy tow a Humvee w/ a HEMTT and he had to remove the brush guard to hook up. Jeff

    looking for engine for M75

RE: Re: RE: yup Adam is correct. I sold one to a guy in TN who is putting it in his M75 and IMS in Canada has one in his M75. Worst case would be to use it as a rebuilt long block and use the M75 induction to keep it original. Jeff

    XM757 8x8

I would venture a guess that fifth wheel height has more to do with rear suspension travel and tire clearance than trailer height. Jeff

    Moving 10 ton tractor

David is correct. Remove outer duals and rear fenders and you are good to go. I use Fred's Towing in Henderson, NC to move my overwidth Bulldog. 252-430-0082. He hasa blanket overwidth permit which allows the movement of construction equipment which mayor may not cover the tractor. Even if it...

    Trip images (Seabee stuff)

Fender straps and chains were also there to keep the fenders on, especially five tonners with the air cleaner on the fender. Many Vietnam truckers did this because they did so many miles on rough roads the fenders would rattle and crack off. Jeff

    Head gasket for LDS4651A

RE: Typing at the same time. Star Electric has the tool for sale but i made one by welding the end of a combo wrench to a socket. The head may have blown again because they used the old style gasket. They are like playing Russian roulette, sometimes they hold, sometimes they don't. You can...

    Head gasket for LDS4651A

The newest version of the gasket dose not have separate fire rings and is black in color. I have never had to mill or replace the heads of a multifuel which has blown a gasket. Last time I bought the gaskets was from Tom at CSI inc in Ga. Rumor has it you can also get them from your local...

Which paint for my 72 Deuce?

Thanks guys, low res photos do wonders. I didn't have time to fix the fender or swap out the USMC bumper for an Army one. The truck is working this week. Also, dropside bows are much easier to deal with because they break down so easily, no matter which kind of bed you have.

Which paint for my 72 Deuce?

Rizzo, you are correct, it is not a dropside. I couldn't tell from his initial shot because the sides were too dark in the picture but he is doing essentially what the dropsides do but the dropside has a provision to mount the uprights in the front of the front rack and there are slots cut into...

Which paint for my 72 Deuce?

Hey, of course, it's your truck, paint it whatever color you like. [thumbzup] They look great. He just asked what was correct. Here's my M548 I painted w/ Randolf for reference. Jeff
