That's the best part, the "cool" factor and why I would be driving a M923 every day! But on the flip side of things, if I had to go with a civillian car it'd be something small like a Geo Metro...except I might be living on an iffy dirt road that doesn't get plowed when it snows unless I take...

Sweet! One of my many bizarre (I thought I was weird until recently LOL) ideas was driving a M923/M925/etc as a commuter car LOL. Or maybe a M35A2 multifuel if I get good access to alternative fuel sources. But I'm told the 939 series 5 ton is way better for a daily driver.

Absolutely will do! Neat to see another member living in Delta Junction; my dad and I are looking at a house there. 6 acres, perfect for a wannabe M/V collector! Would love to meet up with some fellow Deuceophiles!

Yeah, I've literally considered a M923, 925, etc. as a daily driver. Preferably the A2 variant, for somewhat better fuel mileage LOL. Yeah, a nice, clean, restored one is a roads-only truck IMO; a rustier one belongs in the trees and mud LOL.

When are you heading back? Heading back to the Fairbanks area? If so would be you be interested in potentially trying to meet up? Would love to meet some other Alaskan Deuceophiles. Yeah, that's just the courteous thing to do, anyway. But yeah, I'm sure a lot of thumbs-up and waves are...

Yeah, with the CTIS I imagine it would be great offroad! I'd eventually like to find a couple myself, one for wheeling and one as a daily driver. Seriously! Just beware once you get the 5 ton stuck, it's STUCK! LOL
