I am looking for two dead 2hn batteries. I would like to cut the tops off to make a cover to go on the 51 group maint free batteries to make them look more correct. Anyone have some to butcher? These batteries were used in the jeeps and gensets and they are 12 volt.
Sherwin Williams industrial supply stores. That is where I get mine but I get it for my "business". Some have been able to buy as individuals while I think some have to be a business to purchase. I think you can also get it from Alfahaven but a lot of people on the board to not like them. I paid...
Looking at the photo above, it does not look like it is backward. The front flap should have some nylon straps and the back should have four rubber loops. The flaps should wrap so that the openings are to the rear. The front flap folds around from to the side while the side folds to the front...
Most of the time the tactical radio is the RT524 or the RT246. I am sure singars took their place at some time. We went to singars in the early 90's but we did not have cucvs.
The 1662 is the 24 volt equivalent to an 1157 used in most magnet tail light kits. The 1662 is wired backwards compared to the 1157. I cut off one pin on the side of the 1662 and was able to put the bulb in backward and it worked fine. There is no true 24 volt equivalent to the 1157.

Gimpy,
Are you going to make it to Findley this year?
Stretch,
How about you?
I liked it last year and am going again this year. Might even drive the deuce.
I got the 1662 and filed off one of the pins on the side. This allowed me to put it in the socket backward so the lights worked without rewiring. Worked just fine.
Check this thread. Look on the 4th page and you will see a setup with the rectangular bar removed. Check the rest of the thread to see a more in depth explanation of what I did.
There is a support bar for the pintle hitch plate that runs from frame rail to frame rail. The bottom of the pintle hitch plate attaches to the middle of the support bar. The bar is rectangular tubing. To make any blazer hitch fit you need to take out the bar. I cut the bar and attached it to...
Kenny is right. All diesels will not run on gasoline. All the other fuels such a kerosene, JP8 and such are close enough to diesel to run in a regular diesel but gasoline will not.
