Got more work done. I was able to get the welds to look pretty good on the inside and was able to make the bottom of the welds presentable. They will still be visible from underneath but on the top I think I will be able to get the seams to look good enough to paint and leave alone. After...
I think the fords had a budd number at the top of the firewall but it is not the vehicle serial number. Look on the driver's side of the transmission tunnel behind the lines to the gas tank. This is the place where a plate should be that has the proper serial number. Sometimes the plate is...
I would say civy. I think the civy trailers had a tailgate like that one. Does it look like bubba made the back into a tailgate or does it look like it was made? I may be wrong but it stuck in my head that some civy trailers had tailgates instead of the rear bulkhead.
Yes. I have anointed the driver's seat with my buttocks. Very nice. I do feel like I was cheated. The only real comfortable seat at the time came in a HEMTT. I almost forgot. The cucv's were really nice but we did not have any in my unit. Now all the vehicles seem to have nice form fitting high...
Why would you not have an uneven draw from one battery? No matter where you connect it if you are only getting 12 volts then you are only drawing from one battery. Many have done it and not had a problem but I prefer to use a 12 volt converter for stuff.
It is an M101. It should have 16's but they do not look like the typical tires on the M101. Mine has the newer mudder style tires instead of the NDCC style. Those look smaller.
They are off the shelf two barrels. Not military specific so you should be able to go to your local place and have them order one for a Dodge truck. I think you have to go with a 3/4 ton or W200. It may be W300 but I think the engine is a light duty 318 two barrel.
If you are only jumping the front battery your rear battery might be the one that needs jumped. The only time you use the rear battery is to get the glow plugs warm and for the starter. Most of the time the front battery is the culprit since this is the battery that gets run down if the lights...
I was busy poking fun and forgot to welcome another Michigan member. I better shut up. He is close enough to drive down hear and adjust my idol. Just messing with you. Welcome.
My newer model battery charger has a desulfate function. It calls it reconditioning. It takes about 24 hours for it to do the job. You might look into getting a new charger and desulfate them with the new charger.
If the batteries are really dead you need to let them charge up for a while before you try the start. Most jumper cables are much smaller than slave cables. Even with a slave cable I still needed to charge my M1009 batteries for a couple of minutes with my deuce before I could get it to start. I...
Those are not really drains. They are access ports to clean out the block during a rebuild. He may be able to use them for that purpose though. This may be what they wanted. I would think they are way to small to circulate any appreciable amount of coolant. I think he had a heater hose style...
I used to work at a radiator shop in the 80's. All of the GM truck radiators were metal. That is for the full size. This is when the cores were soldered to the tanks. Newer radiators have plastic tanks pressed onto the cores. Bent fingers hold the tanks on. Most of the time the radiator is...
