Nice looking truck. It looks pretty complete. There are several other threads about the civilian filter numbers and what fluids to use. Hint: Buy a lot of 15w-40 diesel oil.

I spent a lot of time in Long Beach while I was a contact software developer. We were developing software for tracking the ocean shipping containers.

I also fixed two blue air hoses that were cracked and leaking. I have no idea what they are for because the truck worked fine even though they were leaking. They are next to the power steering reservoir under the hood.

BTW, this is what the top hatch is for.

I replaced the air hoses for the driver's air ride seat. I replaced the switch but the air hoses would pop off sometimes so I replaced them both with new.

Chrisross, I suggest putting some cleaner additive in the fuel. Diesel does not last forever and can gum up. I dumped a can of Seafoam in my truck when I picked it up and now it runs good. I also put in additive every time I add fuel. I use Stanadyne.

How much for the ladder?

I do not know where the solenoid is but I am betting it is inside the tranny. I checked the parts list for tranny parts and they only show a couple. I think that is because if anything is wrong they replace the entire unit.

Intel, Glad to hear you fixed it! BTW, I too had problems with the circuit breakers and I took all of mine out. I replaced with fuses and now I have less problems and I have not blown a single fuse.

You are correct. The brakes lights work if the battery switch is on but the "ignition switch" in the cab is off. I never knew that.
