The newer trucks have 3 major changes.
1. As MTVR mentioned, they have A/C as standard equipment.
2. A newer model of the Allison transmission and the next generation of the electronics controls for it.
3. Suspension changes for the factory installed armor.

Here is the photo of the camera monitor in the cab. The monitor for the camera could be brighter because on a sunny day it is a little hard to see. I left mine at the normal brightness because if I adjust it brighter then at night it is too bright.
Madams,
My fluid change went pretty well. I made a video about it. I will post it later.
I used the oil sample valve to pull out 2 gallons of fluid and it took about two minutes per gallon so it is fast.
I am not having the best luck using the tranny dip stick to check the level. It is...
So I saw the connectors under the passenger door a long time ago but I was not sure how to use them.
MAdams mentioned them in one of his videos but I was still not really sure how to use them.
Well, I changed the fluid and filters in my transmission and I put in too much fluid so I thought...
I searched the parts list and I do not see it under any of the words that made sense to me. I have seen generic ones at the military supply houses. I think there is a thread about locking (keyed) ones.
Mullaney,
The camera does need power and I was thinking of running it off a set of 8 AA batteries. In fact I did that during testing. It worked fine that way but I think batteries would not last long because the camera must be drawing about an Amp.
For the camera power, I tied into the...
I don't remember what the form says exactly for each entry. When I got my documents back from the FOIA I could not read the preprinted text very well. So I printed the blank form off and then I copied from their form what they had entered. When I was done, then I could finally understand it...
I put on a locking cap for both reasons. I know it is simple to defeat but the truck is kept right by my house so all I have to do is slow them down with a little bit of discouragement and they will go find an easier mark. Like my tractor- it does not have a locking gas cap. BUT there are three...
I am putting in an inverter to get 120 volts in the cab. I also am putting 8 led light bars above the cab. I am installing several antennas one for a regular am/fm radio and one for a 2 meter ham radio. As a part of all this, I am working to make it all easy to remove because I want to easily...
I also took some time this week and fixed something that really bugged me. I did NOT like the back flap of the cargo cover always hanging down when I was trying to get into the bed of the truck. So I rigged up a system so I can pull up the back end of the cargo cover from the ground. If you look...
MAdams,
I received about 12 pages of stuff but there were only two that really mattered. They are below. The Limited Technical Inspection form is not shown in its entirety because I am just showing it as a sample of what you might get. One the shipping document, I checked the From and To codes...
That's a good idea. Let me know how it turns out.
I am hooking up 6 cameras on my truck with a monitor in the cab to see 4 of them. I am doing it mostly for liability reasons. BUT it would be nice to see what is going on around all four sides of my truck.
OK, here are step by step instructions on how to get the Marines to give you information on your truck FOR FREE.
You will need your VIN, hood serial number, and photo of the driver's door inside showing the VIN and serial number.
Go to this URL:

Then Create an...
I received the new step down converter and I hooked it up to the trailer power. Now the backup camera works all the time.
BTW, one reason I selected the before mentioned camera is that it SAYS it will work on 12 and 24 volts. But after I got it and I looked at the step down converter they have...
A couple of weeks ago I was watching a video from a Marine camp and it showed the inside of a 7 Ton with the cargo cover on. It had the seats but also had the back rests in place. I had thought the back rests were only installed when the cargo cover was not on. So I checked the TM and saw that...
