    2013 VIN INFO Thread

People told me my gauges in the dash had a layout from a gasser, but I had no idea the truck was 60 years old! I wonder what they changed other than the engine? The hood & hardtop are new from a closer inspection. Thanks oh clearer of the fog! :D

105 bed mounting on bobbed deuce

Take a look at posts #61 and #66 in my thread about my deuce. I show the measurements of where I put my M105A2 bed, and how many bolts I used. Keep in mind I spaced my bed ~11 inches away from the back of the cab to leave room for jerry can mounts, dual stack exhausts, and the possibility of a...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Words can't describe the power difference. The truck needed the extra power because of the 53" Michelins. I'd love to ride in a bobbed deuce on 11R20s with the injection pump turned up.

Well, I'm happy after adjusting the fuel on the injection pump. I'm hitting 11psi of maximum boost at 2600rpm, and the EGT never goes above 1100F. I will drive the deuce like this for awhile, and if I need a little more get up and go I can adjust it a little more.

Turning Fuel Up on a "G Code" Injection Pump - Video

This injection pump adjusting is getting confusing to say the least. So far I've adjusted the jam nuts to 1 full turn (8 flats) + 2 more flats. This got me to 10-11psi max, 950F max EGT. The truck is responding very well to the new fuel. I can now keep up with traffic pretty well. The...

Turning Fuel Up on a "G Code" Injection Pump - Video

Fortunately for me there are no steep grades around here other than the Mississippi River bridge. My test loop consists of long interstate runs including many long overpasses, city traffic, and a 4-lane highway with a 65mph speed limit. No issues whatsoever with load. I don't tow anything...

Turning Fuel Up on a "G Code" Injection Pump - Video

I don't follow you on the no load comment. Are you talking about towing a trailer or going up steep grades? I sped up the video during disassembly and reassembly because it would have made the video that much longer.

Turning Fuel Up on a "G Code" Injection Pump - Video

Anybody else adjusted one of these pumps? My truck seems to be a 1 psi boost gain per flat on the jam nuts. I'm continuing to make adjustments, so 5-6 flats should get me 12 psi. It's raining today, but 4 flats have helped me get to 10 psi and well below 1200F.

    Cupholder Suggestions

I actually fit a cup from most of the fast food establishments I frequent in the crack on the fold down seam of the passenger seat. Jam it down in there about halfway so it doesn't move. Since it takes some finagling to get the cup in there I just lean over and take a sip at stop lights. :D...

I created a YouTube video on adjusting the "G Code" type injection pump on my M35A2. Here is a link to the thread I posted in the Deuce section that might just turn into a sticky. *fingers crossed*...

Turning Fuel Up on a "G Code" Injection Pump - Video

I put together a video on turning the fuel up on a M35A2 equipped with a "G Code" injection pump. This type of pump doesn't have a FDC (fuel density compensator) that is adjusted on the outside. Instead, a cover is removed over the governor and 2 nuts are adjusted between a bridge plate that...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

After adjusting the injection pump stop plate by 2 flats on the jam nut, I went out and took a test drive. The boost went up to 8 psi max, and the EGT never went above 950F. I adjusted the stop plate by another 2 flats (now a total of 4 from stock). The boost now spikes to 10 psi and...
