Attached is a copy of the specific TM page that provides the proper torque for the A2 front hubs.

    Bobbed '84 AMGeneral

Owen, no, this is the full disc brake setup that replaces the existing drums. It's a Ford 15" disc and F550 caliper at each corner. I would never run a pinion brake setup.

    Bobbed '84 AMGeneral

I finished the power steering. Now I'm in the middle of installing disc brakes. Next up is 3-color camo paint and A/C+Heat. It never ends!

    Bobbed '84 AMGeneral

Nice looking bobber there. What's the story with the tree in the background? Fell over, "Don't Cut", and the next picture it's gone? lol

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

I tore down my front/rear axles, cleaned them up, and replaced the seals, boots, etc. Black Rock Fab sent me a front/rear disc brake kit, so I removed the factory drum brake setup including the backing plates. Those were some tough rivets to take out on the rear plates. I reached a snag on...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I finished the demo on both axles of my bobber in preparation for installing disc brakes that arrived last Friday. DID I MENTION THAT I HATE RIVETS! Just when I thought I was done removing rivets from bobbing my deuce and recently installing power steering, I had to take out 24 rivets on the...

    M35A2 Zombie Hunter

That is one nice crew cab deuce! Can't wait to see pics of the build. I want to see it with the top down!

    Axle seal CR# A1205A651

I need one of those for my passenger side Bendix type axle shaft. Can you tell me where you bought it?

That, my friend, will NOT buff out. :carnac:

1600s on a deuce with manual steering

John, I ran 1600s on my bobbed deuce for a few months with the factory manual steering in place. Mind you I didn't take it off-road in any deep ruts, but interstate and city driving were no issues. My only advice is to drive "crab style" with your thumbs out! I have since gone to a power...

    Power steering for Deuce

I love my M35A2 power steering kit from Waterloo Specialties! Take a look at my install pics on my website. HanksDeuce.com "click modifications".

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

I had time today to fabricate an air compressor intake "fording kit". Simply connect the intake tube on the air compressor to the tube that sticks out the back of the air filter housing. As always, many more pictures are on my website. HanksDeuce.com "click modifications".

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Catch up time on my modifications. 1) I took final pictures of the power steering install. 2) I took a final picture to show how I tied the 1/4" OD poly tube vent system into the air filter housing. 3) Today I replaced the transfer case vent with a compression fitting elbow and connected it to...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Jim, take a look at post #98 on this thread for the brake line info. Direct link here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/1129972-post98.html I have not driven it with the power steering yet because I'm waiting to put the front/rear disc brake kit on. My boots are torn and I need to rebuild my axle...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

I installed a cheap slobber (road draft) tube on my bobbed deuce over the weekend. I removed the existing axle vents and replaced them with a vent system that purges into the air filter housing under the hood. As always, all of my pictures are on my website. HanksDeuce.com "click...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Well, I'm 99% done with the install of the Waterloo Specialties power steering kit for my deuce. All I need to do is pick up my NAPA coolant filter kit, fill the coolant, and crank it tomorrow! Tom Bauer made one nice power steering kit for the deuce. I had to call him a few times for...

Has GL ever answered any simple questions ??

Yes. They were selling caged wall sections that I thought about using for dog kennels. No measurements were posted, so I asked them what size each caged section was. It took a few days, but they posted measurements before the auction was over.

    deuce steering box

I pulled my deuce steering box without touching the engine mounts or injection pump. 1. Pull the pitman arm off. Autozone had a puller I borrowed. 2. Drain the steering box. 3. Remove the steering column. (may not be required for you, but mine was already out) 4. Temporarily remove the 2 brass...

LA - Will pay $$$ to get M35A2 bobber axles rebuilt (bearings, boots, etc)

Thanks for the critical feedback, doghead. If my thread is in the wrong forum, then a forum moderator/admin should move it to the appropriate forum. That person should also move the 5-10 other topics that are in the Website Help Forum into the correct forum. Both of those things will help...

LA - Will pay $$$ to get M35A2 bobber axles rebuilt (bearings, boots, etc)

I reviewed other posts in this forum like mine, and it looks like no other moderator chimed in that their post was in the wrong forum. Sometimes the mod did their job and piped up to move the thread, but other times they did not. Confusing isn't it? Examples: 1...
