The M35A3 has reverse lights...but still no alarm. The only trucks, to my knowledge, that have the reverse alarm is the M915 series of trucks. I have limited knowledge of the latest HEMTTs, MTVRs, FMTVs, etc.. They may have it. I mainly was referring to the types of trucks that collectors own.
If you think you'll get one for $5K, you are mistaken...unless they are parts trucks. If they go for $5K, I am going to own at least two, I can assure you of that.
Very sorry to hear about that. I actually bid on that truck, but got out way before you won it (we were not really bidding against each other). Sad to see her get cut up...but it is the buyer's right since he will have paid the price for it.
Richard, to fill the air on the front tires, there is a valve exposed through the rock shield. This will allow you to top off the air. Be advised that your CTIS may not like it if you overinflate your tires. One time, I inflated my tires to something higher than the CTIS calls for (the CTIS...
I have wanted an URAL for some time...but, an armored URAL, man, that would be awesome. I found a few nice ones in Europe (England, mainly), but have not wanted to deal with the hassles of getting it shipped to the US.
Yes, you and FLORIDIANSON are correct. There is nothing wrong with using the HEMTT rims. They tend to be more plentiful and are usually a bit cheaper...but you can find nice 1400s on the correct rims for in the range of $300-400. I have bought many from John Winslow in NC.
I am not sure of this, but I was just told that the trucker is going to grab my truck tomorrow so this may not work (literally just heard from the broker). I am sorry for getting your hopes up. With that said, we have had several other false-starts where we were planning to get the truck out...
I have seen regular cabs come out on GL. You could always wait for one. To me, what makes that truck really cool (besides the rarity and the fact that it is a dump...I LOVE dumps) IS the fact that it is the rare airborne version. When I saw it, I did not see anything that could not be fixed...
If someone could get them to JWALLER's place, they are welcome to ride for free to MD in a truck that I have sitting at his place. From there, MONKEYBOYARMY travels from VA to OH and back regularly. It might be easier to take baby steps rather than swing for a homerun getting it that far...
Agreed with a couple of other posters...don't bob it. That is a RARE truck. I was offered that by Winslow a year or so ago and almost bought it, but could not get the nerve up. I've been involved with a few too many projects where parts are scarce and could not stomach this rebuild. The...
They should be. I bought some of the front lifting shackles directly from the guy who bought out BMY Harsco (maker of the M939A2 series) and they fit deuces, M809 series, as well as the M939 series. I think the actual shackle is identical on those trucks...although there is an older and a...
A guy responded to your classified ad and said he is interested. He left his phone number. I am guessing you already saw that, but...just in case...I am letting you know.
More water accumulates in a tank due to condensation from natural temperature changes than probably entered the tank through frost. I concur with the other posters. I would also suggest adding a whole bottle (the big bottle, 64 oz., I believe) of Power Service diesel fuel conditioner. It...
I almost wonder if the boat was there FOR safety...as in the kids could jump in it if the driver got in a bit too far. Someone else mentioned this, but how could he possibly have enough faith that the water would not drop off in spots or there were no tree stumps, rocks, etc. I enjoyed watching...
