I just ran into the same situation with my M1009. LMC list an adjusting tube on their catalog, but they say it's only for the suburban. Without being 100% sure I didn't want to order it. This setup cost almost the same about at NAPA that the tube listed for on LMC. Thanks for posting, I...

Here are a few more things I'm going to have for sale. Please check back with this and the other two post I have, as I will be updating those and adding new things to these 3 as I come across them to avoid having too many posts.

Not sure what the official capacity was but we always keep stuffing people as long as the doors would somewhat close. I believe we use to have at least 40 people with gear on one, but probably more with people standing in the door ways.
Here are some more items I've been digging out of boxes. If you want pictures of an item just PM me and I can add them. I'm putting the NSN numbers I have so you can ensure it is the correct part. Some of these parts I've had to search to NSN to find out what they are, so they might fit more...

Planning on being there from the 8th to the 12th. My wife is also willing to assist with the Medic duties. She is a RN and we will bring out medical supplies we keep for our firing range. We have 500ml .9 saline bags, trauma bandages, regular bandages, basic supplies, etc.
I glanced under my M38A1, but there is too much stuff in the way to really see lol, and the rear one I saw had the bent clamps. I'll have to check the other three when I get things moved around cause that one could've been replaced over time. Haven't done anything with the M38 since we bought...
Well I still don't know what leafs I have then. lol The sets that I have are 35 1/4" eye to eye with 10 leafs and two bolt retainers, the other set is about 40.5" eye to eye with 11 leafs and 4 bolt on retainers. Though there are some numbers I'll have to look up.
Helomedic, Looks like your getting ready to go full bore on the project and I'm guessing you will be building another A1 in the future. Feels good getting the parts together doesn't it. Seems like getting the parts can be just as much fun as anything else. One thing about the pictures...
Another good idea, when buying a truck without a title (for parts or not), is to have the VIN checked by LE to make sure it is not stolen. I've had this happen to me on an old car a guy gave me years ago. It was a piece of junk but I thought I could fix it up. Ended up having to give it back...
That is what amazes me the most.
The other thing I've noticed is that there are a lot of people buying them and trying to flip them. I believe they see them on fleabay for 10k plus and think they can sell it for that. They don't do any market research and realize those trucks keep getting...
Another thing to add on about restorations of military vehicles. It's okay to have a small dent here or a run in the paint there. As you probably know, most minor repairs are done in motor pools by soldiers with little or no body work experience. When I repainted the motor on my M151A2, I...
Now this is a very GOOD point. Restoring a military vehicle does not require factory specifications on everything. Units have always modified vehicles to fit their needs. One perfect example was I added a 12v plug in my M998 for a phone charger, most all our trucks had CBs added to them for...
