New to me and Dad M38A1

Looks like you got a good project. Congrats. I'm restoring a M38A1 right now. After you get them hit me up as I have a pair of fenders for the M38A1. Also look up Peter DeBella for parts. I've gotten a lot of my parts from him.

    True or not

That is correct. It was considered to costly to ship them home and with the war over there was no longer a need the number of vehicles that were sent overseas. This true of most all of the wars we have been in as a country. My grandfather told me stories of them dropping deuces, jeeps...

I did the unthinkable, added DOT3 To my master cylinder

That's the best way that I know of to get it all out. I'd bleed a lil more after you first get new fluid at the wheels just to be sure.

    Mystik 15w50 in m1009?

I'd go with WIX. Not a fan of Fram filters. Every Fram filter that I have seen cut open is just paper and is collapsed on itself. I run Wix filters in everything I got and have no problems with them.

There were many different vehicles purchased and used by the military that did not get military modifications. I know of many Ford pickups that were bought for the military and they had a military data plate on them, probably just like the dodge you are asking about. Even in the late 80s the...

See items coming to future auctions?

The other thing to remember is that when the items are in DRMO, other units, musuems, law enforcement, etc. all have first dibs on those items before they go over to GL to sell. That's why some members are saying that you might see it going through the system in DRMO but it never goes to...

Which of the 3 serials should I use for SF97?

I'd try and find the number stamped on the frame. It should match one of the three. Well hopefully.

    Patracy's "SEMTT"

How far (and fast) did you get on your test drive? I'm curious how the ride is, I know our HEMTTs bounced a lot. Well at least the up-armored ones did.

    classifieds clean up

Can you state if an item is high quality or a good item if you bought one (and they have multiple) or you bought one identical to what they are selling?

    My engine is broke?

I'm interested in what you find out after removing the oil pan. If the magneto was that bad, it could be what caused everything to lock up. Which could be some good news for the rest of the engine.
