Thanks guys. I'm still restoring things at my parent's place. Where I rent, I have barely enough room to park my motorcycle. Close to where I work though. Luckily the parents are VERY understanding!
I forgot to add, I rewired the trailer for 12 volt and I ordered a generic OD green canvas...
Man I wish I could make this outing. I signed up to go with the girlfriend somewhere that weekend. I hope there is a spring run there. I'm only 3 hours drive away!
Rescued 7/29/11 from the edge of a farmer's field where it had been parked in the shade since about 1990. I've been meaning to pick it up since I first saw it back around 2004. Amazing it still has a floor in the bed. I had to shovel out a half foot of nature's garbage though. Both tires...
I have a 16 ft car hauler trailer and I can move my M38A1 and M416 (close to M100) if I first put the trailer on with the trailer tongues over each other and the M416 back edge held down to the car hauler deck. Then pull on the M38A1, fold up the ramps and it barely fits. The first time I...
I think it might of been the truck that usually sits at a logging or lumber company office right on Rt 51 in that area. I think it is a OD green with a camo cargo cover.
Haha well I wouldn't be having such an issue with this bolt if it wasn't on the front of the truck where I have to look at it and be reminded every time I walk by.
Thanks for the grease link. I noticed someone has been into my winch and there is permetex hanging out of the seal areas...
Some rocket surgeon stripped one of the four 1/2" bolts on the top of my winch that holds that top piece of channel with the data plates on it to the winch.
When looking at the front of the truck, it is the rear right bolt (driver side of truck, closest to driver).
Does anyone know if there is...
I found from a TM the front end should be towed in about an 1/8th inch or less. Can anyone verify that?
Still chasing my fuel pump wiring too...
BUT I did get the truck all stenciled and prettied up for a parade this weekend! Also got a cargo cover and bows to put on...
I was able to get a local mechanic to sign off on truck weight. I should be getting my antique plate soon.
Thanks for the offer though.
My roommate said he spotted a truck that looked like mine, which to him means an olive drab 6x6, hauling a group of dressed up good looking girls to a prom...
I was actually practicing using my winch yesterday.
Is the cable missing off of the stuck truck or is it just me?
Putting the strap around the front bumper is a good way to cut it. Always use the D-rings. That is what they're there for.
I added the pic as an attachment since standard doesn't seem to work here.
I wanted to get some ducks in a line before I threw my info into the VIN info thread.
I'll try showing a mechanic the TM. What is the TM number with weight data? If it is in TM 209-2320-361-10, I have that one.
Paperwork says I have a 1954 Kaiser-Jeep M35A2, recently acquired in NY. From my pictures people seem to think the truck is closer to a 1970 vintage.

(See attached image)...
Just checked the frame, under both fenders is a date in 1967, and I can't find the VIN that is on my title anywhere. Interesting.
Also it looks like a dash plate is missing, that that one probably had the info I'm missing. I'm trying to find the loaded and unloaded truck weight so I can get...

Bought this from a guy on craigslist in Syracuse.
Has troop seats in the bed, winch, cab hard top, block heater and grill cover for winter, no cover for the...
