I hooked up my tan M101A2 and moved it about 400 feet. It’s full with a set of HMMWV wheels/tires that I’m trying to sell and needed it out from under trees. Haven’t used it much lately. Will be painting the tan one once the temps cool down a bit.

Brand new ones are impossible to find so do what you can to free it up. I have not used a torch or taken it apart. Doesn’t look like you can without needing replacement parts. I soaked mine in penetrating oil with some success. Luckily the adjustments on all of them were already very close...

Don’t forget to use dielectric grease on the connections. Really helps prevent corrosion. Should be a packet included in each headlight box.

Wrong. I’ve ordered them. 5 or 6 come in one box. Its been discussed on SS. Others have ordered same part and received multiple bolts in one box as well.

Surge brakes are great. They do make a difference on a loaded or unloaded trailer. Always amazes me on how many guys that recommend no brakes on a trailer. They don’t fix the surge system or remove it entirely. Once it’s properly brought back to life, it will be years before any real...

ACDelco still makes the correct starter bolts. The are one time use and not expensive. Price is for a box of 5 or 6 bolts

eBay has it also. Excellent stuff. Used it on the floor of my 5 tons, then stock floor paddling on top of that. Zero rust issues and the soft tops on the 5 tons always leaked. Even when brand new.

This is the stuff I use. Benefits of being in aviation. Creeps extremely well into all the nooks and crannies. Sprayed it all inside CUCV cab floor and corners and just refreshed a few months ago. I use it on my M101A2 trailers and pretty much everything. Never worry about rust again...

You could run it a bit, get it to normal temps a lot and maybe the seals will expand and dry up since it had been sitting. A rebuild is probably due as mentioned.

Padding and Carpet?! Ok Rust will soon follow.
