    cucv charging system m1009

You may have a glow plug temperature sensor that's going bad and it's telling the glow plugs to cycle. When the engine is cold the glow plugs cycle for a short period "30-60 seconds" after start up. That's why you may get fluctuation in the meter. If the temperature sensor went bad it will keep...

    New M1009 - Few Questions

For issue # 1 Replace your cold advance temperature sensor located on passengers side rear of engine by the last fuel injector. When engine is cold it always sends power to your cold advance solenoid when the key is on. As engine warms up it opens the circuit and drops power to your cold advance...

    Seat covers for M1009 CUCV

I'm recovering from major cervical surgery at the moment. I think I will be mobile enough to get you a photo in about a week. Fold your seat back out of the way and feel the very back top of the base seat through the leather. You will feel a metal rod spanning the back. I didn't want to drill...

My God, did that truck ever run? If it did it was a ticking time bomb or at least a definite "walk back home" when it failed truck.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

german m1008- Obviously all of cucvrus "Built in a Barn" are # 1s. So I can't lay sole claim to that designation. Speaking for all, I assume there will be photos posted of your new ride when it arrives at port. I am anxious to see if it looks as good on German soil as it did on American soil...

    M37 Mystery Problem

I agree fully with Squirt. You need 3 things for internal combustion, gas-air & spark. If you don't have spark you won't have combustion. Replace the condenser and it wouldn't hurt to add new plugs and wires.

    Office chairs for new seats

I think they are a great idea. As far as the office chairs durability? I've seen some pretty hefty women sit in those type of chairs at my old office.

    Buss bar blues

If you can't find a replacement buss bar you could double up on the second peg as a shortcut.

My cucv burns up a glow plug every 3-4K miles

Find out what is causing the issue first and replace what's broken "most likely hacked wiring . Don't start hacking things up more - keep it stock. The stock system design worked for over 35 years, why change it now.

    General antenna question

You will need Lower Antenna AS-1730/VRC and Upper Whip Antenna AT-1095/VRC . I have a brand new one still in the box but I will never let it go.

    General antenna question

Just start searching ebay and other sites for the parts/antenna you need, they do pop up from time to time. Asking prices have changed since I bought my accessories but you should be able to find an antenna for your new rig for $100 or less. Make sure you purchase the proper antenna to match...

    Seat covers for M1009 CUCV

I have the Jatonka covers for 8 years now and loving them. Only issue I had was the base seat cover would slide around with my big butt on them. I ended up putting some clips in the back to hold them fast solving the issue. I also think that Smittybilt G.E.A.R. jeep seat covers will fit the...
