I had a buddy pressing the pedal while I watched the slave cyl. It doesn't take a whole lot of movement to disengage the clutch.
I'm not sure the single mass flywheels vary.
In the picture I have in post #6, picture named 219-slavecylnotadjusted-jpg, you can see the fork is all way the down the...
Are you using the napa master/slave cylinder set? did you get the AA kit to adapt their clutch fork to the napa slave cyl?
With the AA kit, I adjusted the two nuts on the push rod so the fork sits about in the middle of the threaded section. I can take a picture this afternoon if that helps.
I...
On another note, does anyone know how the fuel flows inside the injector? Just out of curiosity, How does the return portion of the injector work? Does it just blow off fuel at a certain pressure, or does it constantly let fuel flow out at a very low volume?
I think I read something about the injection and lift pumps being cooled by the fuel? So I suppose the return line going to the tank is necessary to dump heat into the large volume of diesel.
Just tossin an idea around here, can't seem to find if it would even work.
Why are return fuel lines sent all the way back to the fuel tank? Wouldn't it make more sense to T the return line in to the suction side of the lift pump? Or is there a problem here I'm missing?
The one I took off was leaking pretty bad and had a fair amount of play in it. I just got new tires mounted and balanced so both of these changes I'm hoping will settle the issue, if not then I'll be all over the tie rods. (old tires were very out of a balance)
I emailed Monroe since amazon was...
I got a new monroe stabilizer from Amazon (sc2913), I'll see if they will send me a new bolt.
4wp have it in stock, or can order it for me?
I was going to drive the truck, but with death wobble and terrible roads I don't want to risk it without a stabilizer.
Doesnt diesel start to cloud at 32F, and gell between 10F and 15F? All I know was the truck stalled when pulling out of the driveway at 11F. Twice
At least thats what I found on the internet.
No problems in regular weather. No drain back issue either.
It did take some cranking in 11F. But I didnt have a fuel heater so that may just be fuel gelling.
I'm trying to pin down the aproximate location for where air is getting into the system.
In addition to going around checking and tightening hose clamps I also plan to add a check valve between the filter and the IP, and a manual ball valve on the main return line.
I'll shut that off and leave...
In regards to the 12v alternator, I have applied 12v to both terminals with the engine running and the alternator does not output 14v. I changed alternators and it still does not work. Does there need to be resistance on terminal 1?
(My entire terminal 1 / gen 1/2 lights are gone from the vehicle)
