    Lets talk offroad upgrades .....

Time to repack wheel bearings and grease everything that went under. Check diff fluid for water ingress, as well as crankcase and transmission. I'd stick with a 24v winch and power it from the slave port on the front. For powering it from the rear of the truck i'd mount another slave port and...

    I just won this M1082 2013 Oshkosh

Standard cage bolts as used on 939series trucks fit in my experience. Nose down is going to be considerably more tongue weight than specified. You have airbrake vehicles. I'd use one of those long before I'd pull it with a 3/4 ton truck. My redtruck is obviously a 1ton dually and weighs...

    1991 HMMWV overheating

Or maybe it was overfilled to begin with and just puking out the excess....

    Snatch block sizes

Not really. The inadequate side support on the cable will allow it to flatten out and cause premature failure. Probably not an issue on a rarely used SRW.

M1101 tongue modification and height adjustable

My example was intended to be worst case but still legal. Several places on I 20 in TX have 85mph speed limits and don't exclude towing. (And yes, you see the geezers with diesel pickup trucks pulling 30,000lb RVs @ >85mph.)

    HMMWV Ground Shunt

What kind of batteries do you have? Fully charged yellowtops are frequently 13.2v each.

    Camo

And the black and brown splotches could be added with rapco or rustoleum rattlecan if desired. I think it looks great solid green.

    I'm thinking yes.

    Almost bought a truck today

Firmly agree with NDT on this. Not only would it bot be a dealbreaker, it would barely be on the radar.

Is it safer to wear seatbelts, or not?

I'm not so sure. For rollover crashes with no ROPS and no top at all the statistics may support no seatbelts. Consider - john deere tractors recommends seatbelts at all times *unless the rops is folded down* in which case the recommended practice is no seat belt. I'm wearing my seatbelt in...

    Alabama Title

Futile gesture. What they tell you today will bear no resemblance to what they actually do when you walk in to title and register. This has been my firsthand experience with more than one DMV.

Found some new Motor Pool GI mechanic wizardry today...

Or consider.... Before the guy messed with it the door was INOP. The correct parts probably were not available. After the guy messed with it, the door functioned adequately if not properly.

    Making my M35A2 submersible

Don't forget diffs... Probably want to have a look at the military's deep water fording kit.

    Authentic Side Mirrors

And i just need the RH upper. If they're not available loose, perhaps we should split one....
