There is a band that holds some tension on the drum but the lock is a pin as discussed. The band is on the driver's side of the winch and it is basically a band with friction material on it so the winch does not freewheel. It will slightly inhibit the drum on rolling by the weight of the cable...
I just called them today and got a recording. I need some body repair panels for the M151. I called for prices and they never called back today. I also sent out an email to them. I am cooking a deal for a rolling tub but if that falls apart I might ask you to pick up the body panels for me and...

Here is what I found today. They did not seem to interested in giving me a quote on Waterborne. I just got general answer of it should cost about 40% more than the other quote I got. At this point I want to stick to just getting gallons of solvent type paint in gallons. Also, I just want to pass...
Probably 71. They did not make them until 69 or so like has already been stated. I would not say it is hard getting parts. The fact that so many are coming out surplus right now means there is a lot of stuff out there to buy. The fenders are pretty hard to find though.
RE: MAYDAY Truck Down
Nothing like no electrical? The main wire runs on the firewall by the lifting hook on the engine. Mine lost all electrical power because the wire had rubbed in half. The wire runs from the area of the starter wire over to the area of the steering shaft. Check to make sure...
The wagner guns can be used with solvent paint. I think the same type guns are used to apply the solvent and the waterborne paint. Maybe one of the professional painters can chime in.
Dave,
I did make it and I thought the turn out was pretty good. I did miss you there. I drove the deuce for the 1st time. My kids forgot the camera. Sorry to hear about your father. Hopefully we will all make it next year.

I need to call on Monday to get a quote for waterborne Carc. This is single component regular VOC paint that I got the price for above. It goes on similar to Gillespie in that respect. The waterborne needs an A and a B component and then it is reduced with distilled deionized water. I will post...
MT1 is the thing you need to look for. GL-1 is straight 90 weight and I think GL-5 is 80W90. It may be 80w140 but I think 80w90 is the correct viscosity. The MT-1 rating is the thing that makes it safe for the soft or yellow metals in the transmission.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Sherwin Williams CARC paint Type 2
Looking back through posts it looks like bigmike used waterborne CARC.
Cliff,
Did your quote include the B component or only the A component (this is the color component).
Thanks
Chuck
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Sherwin Williams CARC paint Type 2
I have been doing research and it seems like we are talking about at least two different CARC paints. The one I called about is described below and is not waterborne. It is a single component paint. It needs reducer to spray but that is it...
