A couple lift issues on my M1010

The add a leaf is for sure not in the right place. Looks about 2 leafs too high on the pack

    Off Road Design Engine Crossmember

You shouldnt have any trouble pulling the pan with the stock crossmember. However, that looks to be a nice piece and I'll probably end up with one in the future.

    M1009: Steering shaft replacement?

it would be nice if the forum was a bit more easy to actually do that.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Resealed my oil pan and started to work on my crossover install. Still need a new steering box but got my passenger side arm on.

    DOT 5 brake fluid questions

It is, but it'll lose that color over time to a clear/light Amber color. Makes for an easy way to know when you're done flushing. I I get my dot 5 from advance. You can order online and pick up in store and use an online coupon.

    M1009: Steering shaft replacement?

I'm running an XJ shaft. They have metal u joints and nearly bolt in. Plenty of write ups about it and cost $10-15 at a yard.

1986 M1009 Blazer AC Install help

I'd have to see a better picture and maybe a measurement of where the top of the AC compressor is in relation to the bottom of the valve cover and maybe how far back it sits.

1986 M1009 Blazer AC Install help

The few pics I've seen (like the one in this thread) show the compressor on the passenger side.

1986 M1009 Blazer AC Install help

Does anybody have this with a turbo setup? Looks like it might sit just under it but looks real close to fighting for room

Non Standard Motor Mounts movong the engine forward?

Is this to fit a crossover for a turbo? It can be easily done to where it doesn't contact anything and and is tucked up. Mine goes just under the torque converter inspection cover.

    Big ugly truck

I essentially copied you but I welded mine on.

    Big ugly truck

That poor rear axle. I think a 14 bolt and just moving the pads is well worth it. Get a conversion u joint and drive without worry. The front can be swapped to 8 lug. Shouldn't be all that much. good looking 09, what's the deal with the rear wood?

    New shock recommendations

You'll need either shock hoops or ford shock towers to run longer shocks without lifting the vehicle.

What do you think of my cheap dual thermostat setup

And my m1009 is on 1 tons with 35" tires and a 2" lift and frequently gets weighed down with gear going to 10k+ feet. You've got other issues

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Yep, anything post 1976 with the exception of 6 year old or newer vehicles being exempt. It's not all of Colorado, just certain counties. The benefits of living here far outweigh the negatives of going to get emissions tested once a year. It passes every time. I think the non passing amount...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Took it for emissions and passed again, was even cleaner than last year. A belt let go and both alternator belts broke. Need to find out which belts I need for it still.

What do you think of my cheap dual thermostat setup

Seems overly complicated for something that shouldn't be an issue. I have a hard time getting mine to temp, even in summer it's still under 200* on steep hills and full boost.

    Thoughts on this M1028A2

I've seen this truck for sale before. I think the bed sits kind of high and the bumper looks odd now. The rest does look clean though.

How to turbo a 6.2 using 6.5 parts

I think I have a vacuum one laying around. I'll take a look in my garage
