I am trying to figure out who manufactured this truck. CARNAC gave me all of the info that he had (thank you sir) which is it was built in 1969 with a serial number of M725 10601. There is no manufacturer listed. The truck was rebuilt in 1975 and was given another serial number of 05C-21769-M725...

The bad news is that many times water makes its way down to the o-ring sealing surfaces and rusts the sealing surfaces (especially with salt water environments). Takes some sanding,filling and painting to make a good sealing surface again.

A brake could be dragging. Does the drum get hot? Check your wheel bearings. I doubt that it is a bearing but for the couple of minutes it takes to pull the drive flange off and check won't hurt. I have had bad luck with 5 ton wheel bearings lately.

Try Gemplers. One OR20JM Highway O-Ring (rim dia. 20"), Wheel Balancing - GEMPLER'S I think that the o-rings may be different for the 3 different 5 ton wheels. There are 2 styles of 10 bolt wheels and a 20 bolt wheel. Someone on here should know what size o-ring fits each.
