    Tobyhanna Army Depot, PA

I picked up a gen-set trailer a few months back through the federal surplus program for our municipality. It took two hours to get out of the visitors center and I felt like I was from a third world nation. Make sure you have at least two forms of ID: enhanced drivers license, birth certificate...

Purchasing M1009, Have a Few Questions

I've owned my 1009 for 6 years now and after reading Bighorn's "watch-out list" I'm scared. Maybe I should give mine away. I think you have the opportunity to enjoy a good old truck and not worry about things. Yes its 33 years old and things will break but it has lasted this long and with the...

Possible road trip to Tennessee, Won M4KN 4K Forklift

It probably cost as much in new tires as it would have cost you to have someone else hall it.

    Terminus M1009

I will have to pass on your offer. My wife will give you that same dirty look that the lady from church did, and she doesn't even go to church. Besides, my back and hips would not hold up to the damage that Terminus 1009 can dish out. I'll watch the excitement/horror that you will put Terminus...

    Terminus M1009

Rick That reminds me of my late father-in-law that use to get his 80s vintage Chevy diesel van painted at a local shop in Zephyr hills Florida. Usually on special for $99.99 for a two tone paint job. I went with him once to drop it off by 8 am and we went back to pick it up at noon. He would...

My money is on the 47,000. The driver's seat tells all.

    Terminus M1009

Well it was a thought: if you did find it at least you would have a place to sit while fishing.

    Terminus M1009

If the door got washed down from the high water you may want to go back when you have a dry spell and look for the rest of the truck.

    Terminus M1009

And when do you have time to go fishing. Don't you ever sleep?

    Time starter relay for anti-theft...?

Wouldn't be easier to move out of the high crime area? Just do what the military did and padlock the steering wheel to the chain that was welded to the floor.

    Gen1 Light and Small Fire

Doghead mod or not, As I have already concluded; if you have weak or bad batteries it will cause all sorts of issues with the electrical system. sounds as if you have to tend to the charging system/batteries first then see what damage you have with the starting system.

Leaking fuel? - bellhousing/oil filter area - new electric fuel pump

If you go to pull the pump, check the flared ends of the injection lines first. I had the same issue as you and found three of the lines were cracked at the flares. They have been known to do this from years of vibration and/or being overtighten. If that's the case good luck as to finding new...

Batteries draining, 1986 CUCV Blazer. Seeking advice.

Sounds like bad batteries, get them load tested. Weak or bad batteries will cause all kinds of odd things and could cause damage to your starter relay under the dash or your starter itself.
