    A2 / A3 grills & grill mounts

Designing some winch mounts for mah deuce right now, and figured I might as well incorporate the lower grill mounting tabs into the winch mounts. But I'm switching over to an A3 hood, and so will need to make a custom grill. Just wondering if the A2's and A3's use the same lower grill mounting...

Thanks for posting topo. Was just doing some research on this topic and dug this old thread.

Hydro-Max Brake Assist *pics added* (long read)

Well Bosch was absolutely no help. They told me that they don't have any parts numbers (at least, not that they were willing to give me) and that all parts and support for Hydro-Max brake systems goes through the dealers for the manufacturer of whatever vehicle is/was equipped with that system.

Hydro-Max Brake Assist *pics added* (long read)

Can anybody help me source these parts? Spent this morning visiting Napa (can't get Bosch parts) and a few big truck places (can't find any 24V applications). Local International dealer quoted me $850+ for a master cylinder and brake booster, and I would still have to buy another 24V booster...

M35 winch mount and frame extenders

mkay, thanks. Then my measurements must be slightly off. Will double-check everything and try to figure out where I'm coming up with this extra 1/4".

designing & building custom winch mounts - front & rear

Oh wow! That's no joke! You don't think that weighs much more than 50lbs? So are you saying that I couldn't re-orient a setup like that to lay flat? Wouldn't fit in the rear any way you slice it, just curious.

M35 winch mount and frame extenders

Designing some winch mounts right now, and am finding all these dimensions really useful. Thanks G! Wondering about the width between the winch mounting points. Looks like the way you've dimensioned these mounting brackets, they'll sit about 26" apart? The winches I have measure closer to...

designing & building custom winch mounts - front & rear

Thanks, I was going ask about trying to adapt some of that stuff from another application. Would love to see some pics to get a better idea of what you're talking about. All this big truck stuff is new to me.

Hydro-Max Brake Assist *pics added* (long read)

Awesome, thanks. But don't remember reading anything about the 12 vs. 24V boosters. Is the unit that you've got 12 or 24V?

designing & building custom winch mounts - front & rear

Just found mudguppy's thread about converting an A2 winch to hydraulic power. Lots of good information in there, and a lot of pictures too. Looks like that might be another thing to consider, fitment-wise. At least if I want to direct-mount the pump (instead of using a modified PTO driveshaft...

    Hydraulic Conversion of PTO Winch

Am working on adding front and rear winches to mah deuce, planning on powering both of them hydraulically. Thanks for posting all this info mudguppy. Very helpful! Read that you got your parts from Justin Wehring. Is he reproducing these parts? Anywhere else they might be available? Any specs...

Hydro-Max Brake Assist *pics added* (long read)

So do you know what piston diameter you have spicergear? And is yours 24V?

Hydro-Max Brake Assist *pics added* (long read)

Hi Tom. Yes, the electric booster pumps are just for backup/emergency use. But it's a feature that I really like, and the hydro-max stuff is just a better fit for this type of application than the smaller hydro-boost components. I do/will have power steering, using the gear-driven pump on the...

designing & building custom winch mounts - front & rear

Sound advice, but don't really have that option. Don't any kind of winch mounts, so have to build something. Might not get it right the first time, but am not afraid to take a shot. Will most likely be designing/building a custom front bumper, roller fairlead, and tensioning setup at the same...

designing & building custom winch mounts - front & rear

runk, I love you. Thanks! So we can pull the bumper back 3" if the interfering parts of the winch guides are modified/removed?
