Nice job! Wheel lift sticks out further than I'd like, I would have went black front bumper, and I'm not one to like single rear axle trucks, but it looks right for the bed you used. What a fun toy. Any chance you put a Detroit Locker in the rear? Only way to make it better is if you can...
Glad you like it. I have a shorter pulley available next time, this was kind of an experimental install of a nice compact modern unit onto a 250 engine. Bracket slots were a great idea!
I do have one more of these units available for a bargin basement price. Genuine Delco unit, not...
Synthetic is a waste unless extremely cold temps. I disagree with motor flush, bad historical experiences with it. Use any C-type API starburst rated 15W-40 and you're good. Delo is highly recommended on 2 stroke Detroits due to the shearing action of rings across ports, but for 4 stroke any...
The 3 stage telescopic hydraulic cylinders I ordered back on Black Friday are finally shipping out. UGH !!!! No wonder why they were 40% off...... Will update this once they arrive (Monday) and it starts going together. Have to first modify the cylinders from trunion mount to conventional...
Doesn't the governor control air pressure? Maybe if I read the TM I would know better.....
They are cheap and easy to replace. Throw one of those at it too. NAPA sells 2 versions, one is better sealed than the other against external elements, but both same functionally. Control valve in...
Blow real hard backwards into the horn and post a pic.
Just kidding. It is probably your pressure protection valve. See if you can take it apart amd clean it, whack it with a block of wood, or simply replace it.
We can read, listen, all of that. Doesn't mean I believe it. Why are the rears dug down to dirt and the fronts still atop of snow? Fronts have more weight on them when empty, at least one of the two of them should be deeper than the rears.
This is proper behavior. It will not pull up with just ignition on. The hold coil is active with ignition on, but the pull coil is fed from the starter motor, so the solenoid does not pull up until you are cranking. Once pulled up, the hold coil will keep it there, which is why it stays up...
Interesting perspective though. In MI, it is a ticket if you leave your vehicle running with keys in the ignition and leave the vehicle. Owners did not leave the vehicle running in this case, but my stock 925a2 always has the keys in the ignition, per say. I do always use the supplied chain...
Sad to see how little it takes to get these stuck. Worked out in this case though. Looks like the front was not engaged, but, doesn't matter now. Glad they get it back, doesn't always go that way.
Don't you just wish you could have been there when he jumped inside....
Also being addressed. Larger turbo, different intake (remove restrictive after-cooler), and front mount full size Volvo charge air cooler like 4xDesign did, factory sized for a 14L Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine.
I'll swap it this spring once warm. Will take pics, and then once successful, do a write up. Movies where the good guy dies in the end are not so popular.
I have some to learn yet. From the limited studying I have done so far, I believe it will fit and work with a few modifications. The...
12mm P-7100 pump arrived today. This unit is proven to exceed 500hp in a Cummins 5.9L engine. Remember in the movie "Jaws" when he says "We're going to need a bigger boat."........
