    M101A3 Wheel (brake) cylinders

The TM is in the Trailer TM/Manuals section. Dexter or Redneck have the wheel cylinders. About $24 each side. Its been a while since I initially replaced mine and don’t remember the part number. A forum search should turn it up. It’s a common commercial part and not military specific.

CDR valve replacement - bracket modification.

I buy replacement parts, needed or not, weekly. For not only the M1008A1, but all my vehicles. Starter, alternator, fuel pump, CDR valves, filters, etc and lots of smaller, yet equally important parts. A sizable investment that has already been beneficial. Drives my wife crazy until I walk...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Totally agree. My Hawkers are 90lbs each! When I rotate them, that back one is oh so much fun to deal with.

    Valence's 1968 M101A1

I used a can of expanding spray foam to fill the void. Trimmed flush with housing after drying and then a black silicone coating on foam surface to keep out moisture. Worked perfect and looks Factory. Your LEDs are sealed from behind so no issues. No more wasps. Yellow Jackets aren’t even...

load of a heavy duty relay

Those LED light bars shouldn’t pull anywhere close to 70 amps.

M101A2-A3. Best Overall Military Trailer Ever??

Seems like the auction supply of surplus M101A2/3s have completely dried up. Haven't seen any at GP auction for quite a while now. Yes they are still available from private sellers and expensive at that. Supply and demand at its finest.

What did you do to your trailer today.

I used the 5/16” size since I needed a loop. Fit great! Yes. Just a knot behind the tarp at each tiedown point. That way I can adjust in future if needed. It is not a continuous loop all the way around

What did you do to your trailer today.

Bought a 100’ roll from McMaster-Carr. Wasn't that expensive. Used less than half. It’s the simple things in life. Now I don’t mind getting in and out of trailer. Ropes were a PITA.

Until a log falls off and lands in someone’s windshield. If never on public road then no issue.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I laughed out loud on this one! Such typical behavior for those guys that have the tires like that. They don’t understand or care or both that that setup is illegal. Always has been. They think it looks cool I guess. I think it looks incredibly stupid. They definitely have “size” issues.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Took off the nylon rope and installed some 5/16” rubber rope. Now it’s a breeze to get inside, etc. This rope is rated for outside use and resistant to sun, weather, etc.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Definitely need a Load Tamer cargo net to keep anything from falling off.

Those are blackout curtains. Not cucv specific. Someone looks to have rigged them for cucv use in that pic. Most likely to prevent sun/moon reflections than keep light in. We have them for the helos. Keeps any light from getting up front to distract pilots. Even NVG compatible flashlights...
