Appears to be a few at Yermo waiting for demil

The time of day and the suns position make all the difference when trying to shoot thru a chain link fence. Noon is the best time of day to keep the sun off of the fence sides and out of the lens.

    Trying to find headsets.

Personally I like the Racal RA5000 series headsets. The behind-the-head band lends itself to comfortable long wear times and they're reasonably priced and almost all of the units I've seen offered are new or almost new.

    Lanyard loop ferrules?

Does anyone on the forum know what the small metal ferrules that form the loops on retaining lanyards are actually called and where they can be purchased? I'm talking about the little, 1/8" black metal bands that crimp around the nylon cord that keeps the rubber covers for connectors from flying...

    Hmmwv history/use?

Unfortunately the stop and turn lamps are both powered from the #22-460 and 22-461 wires so there isn't an easy way to split them. My suggestion would be to add a couple of small LED lamps to the rear and tap power for them from the #22-460/1 wires. Both lamps will still come on but hopefully...

    Hmmwv fuel solenoid

Before you kill yourself checking those 20 other things do this, the #54 wire on the top of the injector pump energizes with the ignition switch and actuates the fuel solenoid. Unplug it and make sure it is seeing 24 volts when the ignition is turned to RUN. If it's there, reconnect it and...

    Military wiring harness numbering

The page formatting doesn't allow the entire sheet to be printed. It's a great resource, could you please check it?

Replaced 6.2L injection pump, now it doesn't turn off

Pink wire? The #54 wire in a military HMMWV that plugs into the top cover of the IP is the fuel shutoff. I would look for voltage there that switches with the ignition switch. If it's switching then the solenoid inside is bad.

    Drivers seat floor supports

Yes, If you have the original drivers seat this is the fire extinguisher bracket you need. It will not work with the high back seats.

    Drivers seat floor supports

When I installed my high back seats the install kits weren't available so I removed the original floor brackets and turned them around and riveted them back to fit the high backs. You could do the same thing with a couple of pieces of bar stock aluminum.

Asperator / Resuscitator on my HMMWV?

Both the M996 and M997 ambulances had the resusitation packs mounted in the left front corner of the body. There were 4, 6 gauge wires that fed them, #660 and 799 went to the power distribution panel and #781 and 792 went to the resusitation pack. Back in the '90s they converted most of the...

Economical turn signal flasher repair option

The full HMMWV wiring harness is in the back of TM 9 2320-280-20-3. I had mine double sized and laminated at a local copy shop so that I could trace on it with a grease pencil as I was troubleshooting electrical problems.

    Army or Marine M-1026 ?

There are a couple of indicators you can look for. Almost every USMC HMMWV has the fording option installed. Normally that means an intake snorkle and extended vertical tailpipe along with a fording control valve mounted on the firewall just before where the E brake would fold down to. Army...

    m151 fuel tank

It would also have helped if you had told us which 151 you have. The 151 and A1s have one style tank and fittings and the A2s have a completely different style.

    M151A2 Not rolling after sitting???

Elkhtr hit the nail on the head. The parking brake on the 151 is an external band that wraps around a drum mounted on the backside of the transmission. They have a tendency to freeze together when the vehicles sit for long period. Remove the transmission cover and see if it isn't your problem.
