Not sure what you mean by "Hub flip socket" , but if your talking about the wheel bearing nut sockets the sizes are listed in the 5 ton parts spreadsheet in the stickies.

It probably only took 1 idiot demanding his "off-road only" SF-97 be turned into a on road title, while creating a big enough scene law enforcement were called . So they just put out a blanket order refusing to title or register any MV.
That's pretty much what happened in Florida and Michigan.
Some aid will scan through it maybe , that's one of the reason the shorter the better , don't confuse them.
Get what's there passed and tweek it from there. That will at least get trucks on the road again.
You have never dealt with politicians before have you?
It looks like you have a group working to get this resolved and are close , but you want to argue what the law already is to the lawmakers that can change it . So far I haven't seen anything posted about raising funds for lobbyist to get...
It wasn't a nasty PM feel free to send it to any moderator . As doghead pointed out it is a open forum with different opinions. I'm not new to trucks or equipment , normal legal loads here are 160,000 lbs Allisons suck with a heavy load, cabovers been gone for years in the commercial truck...
Nope don't own one, read enough about the problems on here, not to want one . Been around heavy equipment and heavy trucks for 40+ years and you better have deep pockets with yellow motors. And I would take a Roadranger over a Allison any day.
Not trying to discredit your truck , just posting known problems with them so he is a informed buyer . Caterpiller motors and Allison transmission are expensive to repair and maintain. If you can't fix them yourself your going to have some hefty repair bills just to get them diagnosed , not to...
And some members have had the drive lines shake their motors apart , oil lines rub and dump all the oil toasting the motor , hydraulic problems lifting the cab and electrical problems to no end. NDT's advice is spot on.
The 2017 VIN info thread is closed. Bikeman has not started a new one , he was furloughed with the government shutdown and most likely won't start another one until a budget gets passed.
No if it is a 465 LDT it is either a C or D turbo . Several links in post #2 of this thread and how to tell the difference.
D and C Turbo ?
Or post some pictures of your turbo .
It is usually better to address the exact problem . Your going on telling them the law already exists and they may just decide to do nothing. Do as you wish but you probably should get with the OP of this thread and get a more standard letter to send to the Reps and keep your personal arm chair...
Go through the grill with a screwdriver to the latch to release it . It was a common square body problem , sometimes just having someone hit the hood by the latch while pulling the cable will get them to release.
From the repair guide [ Control Pack repairs are not recommended. If the control assembly is defective, replace it.]
I would guess the rubber coating is to keep moisture out.
