There are a few different ways to check and adjust injector timing. None of which require to pull the front cover. There is pin, spill port, and dial indicator methods of checking and changing injector timing. Timing advance is typically setup in the pump, of which then the pump mark is...
That one of those nuclear alternators? 12v71 would look beautiful in there right now, and not sound like a school bus. Buzzin' dozen. Nice shoes on it.
MTVR HVAC box is a nice self contained setup.
Suggest to replace the front crank seal and timing gear cover gasket while you have it apart that far. Easy and low cost, they are almost all seeping by now. Mine is and yours seems to be starting to weep also. I can post Cummins p/n's and...
A small engine fuel filter or sintered air muffler/filter on a short hose on the air wiper exhaust can silence them by 90% with no loss of performance.
Pull your wiper motor motor hoses off and squirt some air tool oil in there and then run them. It may be all they need. Valve may be...
Options:
-24v electric pump, slow
-small gas engine powered hydraulic pump
-engine mounted belt driven clutched pump (NorthernTool, etc), use A/C compressor bracket to mount and drive it
-trans mounted 925 setup, pretty difficult to install but possible, clearance to frame near zero
-transfer...
9 years old, they don't owe you anything. Discard, replace with conventional group 31's @ $100 each, and be done with it. Only way to quantify is to measure available CCA with an internal resistance tester, but being that old is not even worth doing so.
If your vehicle side harness wires are labeled, it should be gravy. See attached. Wire #54 is +24v fed from ignition switch to the run or hold solenoid, wire #82 is fed from the starter motor solenoid to the pull solenoid, and wire #94 is ground for both. If not labeled, use a volt meter to...
PCB has 2 solenoids in it. One for each dash switch essentially. One is battery connect to truck (mostly dash power), and the second sends the crank signal to the starter. For the battery one, you should hear a click when flipping the battery switch on, and dash power comes alive.
This one may be easy. The fuel cut solenoid has 2 coils and a ground. One coil is low resistance and powerful, heats fast and is for momentary uses as the "pull" coil. The other coil is the "hold" coil, and is higher resistance and made for continuous use powered by the ignition circuit.
I...
I'm runnng an amazing deal on new genuine Delco 100 amp brushless alternators. Single B+ cable back to the starter and charging reliability is simplified, updated, and improved by 400%. All other wires can be abandonded. Don't spend time troubleshooting a failed old design. The way these...
Amazing the difference it makes when fuel is routed to the injectors instead of the oil pan.
Seems you grabbed a really good deal. Is it allowed for you to post the place which did it in case others are interested in having theirs gone through also?
I added dual EGT thermocouples and turbo drive pressure (exhaust back pressure) tubes to the exhaust manifold of my 925A2. I drilled and tapped the turbo mounting flange so there is sufficient material to suppor the stainless fittings. Pressure tubes are not yet added in this pic, I need to...
