If you end up pulling off the manifold, look into each of the 4 exhaust ports and see if any look wet or with more carbon buildup than the others. Then start the machine and load it up. Look at the 4 ports and see which one is causing the smoke. ( use a flashlight if necessary to highlight the...
KKlop can surely help you with this issue, but it sounds to me like your speed control rod adjustments may be incorrect or more likely the jam nuts may have loosened and the rod adjustment may be vibrating out of position. The TM covers how to adjust the rods for the speed control.
On the...
Usually once you get them cleared out you should have virtually no visible smoke until pretty close to or sometimes even above 100%.
You will vary slightly from 1 machine to the next, but in general you should get pretty close to 100% load with not much smoke. If you see smoke coming on way too...
Nice looking hood setup. Couple questions, have you since changed the exhaust pipe config? The video looks like you are susceptible to water getting in the pipe ( no flapper or 90* bend etc. )
Only other question is me wondering if the smoke shown in the video cleared up throughout your load...
Nice! I've had a rash of transducers that peg the gage high recently. Since I have run out of spare transducers I've been using these cheap direct read Chineese gages I get for like $10 , but they are cheesy plastic crap. I would prefer to keep the original Ruggedized gages!
I'm off to purchase...
Hello, Those are the high pressure metering pumps. How are you checking the fuel volume and what exactly are you experiencing?
When cranking you will only get a tiny spurt of high pressure fuel from each pump once every 2 revolutions of the motor.
Please elaborate on how you are testing and what...
In many states you can legally register small trailers without the SF97 and in several states a dedicated generator trailer is exempt from even needing to be registered, as long as you only use it to transport the generator. Some other states also are exempt if teh GVW is under something like...
I believe you will find lots of lists of required spare parts already posted here on the forum.
However, the best and cheapest approach ( prior to the recent spike in prices) may be to only stock a single spare PN. That PN is MEP-803A (y) ( a backup machine )
Anything is going to bond to the CARC as long as it is in good sturdy condition, clean, sanded and not peeling or anything.
Once any type of paint is fully cured, the next paint job bonds mechanically not chemically. Paints only bond chemically before their recoat time has elapsed, ( such as...
Another great place is www.Discounthydraulichose.com
You go on their web site, design your hoses using the lists of hose and fittings ( they stock every fitting imaginable ) , submit the order and 3 days later they are on you door step. I use them all the time for equipment hydraulic hoses made...
Sounds like your 802 is pretty normal, they vibrate like a S.O.B due to the in-line piston design. The horse stall mats Zed254 linked to are great, I suggest them to everyone who buys a machine from me and plans to put it on a slab.
If its not stuck down tight, remove or secure the little half ring on top of the Control panel cover as well.
Sometimes the exhaust flaps are very noisy too, especially if you have an 802 and a bunged up mounting bracket for your flap.
If your machine happens to be trailer mounted.... get out...
So you have 110V into the breaker, but were you able to test the output side of the breaker to confirm that power stops at the breaker and not further down the trail?
Teltech is correct, read the data sheet. If you use the DP- 401 activator there is an induction period that must be adhered to. If you use the quicker -402 activator there is no induction time.
Think i will check to see what's left on ebay. Only thing to keep in mind is that epoxy will become...
If you look at the thin black ring around the outer delivery valve housing, that is the SR8515 delivery valve spacer. It's smaller in real life than it appears in the parts diagram. You should try to save it because I don't have one and it's $25 plus shipping for a new one.
I sent you a PM...
I use Rapco as well and have no complaints other than that the gloss is a bit too high for a truely correct restoration project, however the matt finish is much easier to clean than a real FLAT finish.
With that said, in addition to the Rustoleum Camo Ultra flat, I have found that their High...
If you want to flatten out the Rapco paint you can go to your local autobody supply shop and get some universal flattening agent. They should sell it by the Qt. for about $35 and a qt is plenty for a gallon.
Dupont makes a very good one, but most any brand should have it, like AwlGrip G3013...
I do mostly high end automotive restoration work, but I have also painted everything from excavators to military equipment and everything in between. My current personal preferance is a 2 part epoxy primer. It will adhere very well to everything including bare steel with no adverse reactions to...
