    First purchase 2008 refurbished - M1123A2

There are cheap rear-view mirrors for sale everywhere. Mirrors that fit Toyota FJ's, mirrors that fit old antiques, etc... I was gonna install one in my M1025 but... Now I own a second set of sponsons and rear hatch lid, so I'm considering cutting in windows and a rear windshield wiper. Then I...

    Vibration issue

Harmonic balancers supposedly break free of their woodruff keys and can loosen on the 6.2 engines. I would immediately stop driving and check! If that is the problem, replace the harmonic and re-install with updated longer bolt to secure it.

    Custom Cables / Connectors for MX-7777 in a M-1046A

Why can’t you place a few washers as shims between the upper and lower radio trays to make more room. Then cut and weld or move the mounting holes that attach to the upper doghouse.

    Installation rear seat belt

Welcome to this forum! There is a thread regarding TM’s or “Technical Manuals” above. You can download them for free and use the .PDF documents to find what you are looking for. It will take a little time...

I am located in Rockaway, New York, which is not horribly far from you. Please feel free to come to my place and take dimensions off of my rig.

    Wiper arm options?

My way costs no more than the price of civilian wiper blades (like 10 bucks?). You need to know how to and have the ability to use a drill. Might be hard for some. LOL

    Removing footwell box

I’m not sure a spare tire would fit there. A Dremmel with a grinding bit can get most types of rivets out.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

All you need is a robust folding ladder. Just roll it on. Couldn’t be easier.

    Wiper arm options?

Read my prior post about a super easy and cheap wiper military-civilian conversion. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/super-easy-windshield-wiper-military-to-civilian-on-the-cheap.192145/

Ongoing Log Of My 1987 HMMWV

New engine oil/tranny oil cooler/power steering cooler/and radiator are in. Leaks currently all dealt with and she drives well. Probably going to sell the old TH-400 three speed and three speed shifter. They worked fine, but I need my rig to drive 65.

    Hummer hot rod

There was a company that made what looked like an H 1 hummer body that fit on a Chevy Suburban. It would make more sense for you to find one of those replicas and use it rather than go through all the fabrication. I occasionally see them pop up on eBay and other auction sites. That would give...

If I could find a rolling chassis ....

You will have significant issues with rear driveshaft length being too short and creating too acute of an angle. You may also need to reset the pinion angle based on those issues. You may also disengage the rear driveshaft from the transfer case if it slides too far with bumps. Better idea is...

    Hummer hot rod

You need a body, not a frame. You realize that HMMWV axles don't go straight to the wheels but terminate in boxes that reverse the axle's spin direction and then drop down to the wheels?

    GMC 6.5 Turbo/4L80E?

The turbo engine will fit but you need to swap out anything electrical for 24 Volt

    17 inch wheels

Cepek makes rims that are stock configuration. They are NOT bead locks.

H1 Hummer wheels. That is if you want to spend $$$

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Car is in the shoppe. Replacing my oil and tranny cooler that took a proverbial dump. Decided to spend some extra $$$ and replace my radiator as “insurance”. Well, turns out it was developing a leak. By spending the extra $ I actually saved money as the stack is only coming apart once. I am...
