What is a “motor Pool” CJ5?

Wow! I'd guess most have been converted to refrigerator doors or thumb tacks. Whomever kept if from rusting must have been a genius.

    Need a small airforce?

Well, this is depressing. I was getting ready to list all of mine as a package deal but this seller went and depressed the market. I knew I should have listed them earlier.

    CUCV turbo and nv4500 swap

The bright thing about this Dodge version is that its a gasser. It has the same input shaft size and spline count as the chevy but is 7/8" Longer. The extra length allows me to use an adapter plate and my existing clutch as is. I can purchase that plate and the trans at a super good price. I can...

    CUCV turbo and nv4500 swap

Since we are on this subject, another question to add to the mix. If I end up with the Dodge version with 23 spline output, can a Dodge 208 input be swapped into the GM 208? I also have a 241 case and have the same question for it.

    CUCV turbo and nv4500 swap

There was never a factory bell to fit that trans in that body style. Passenger side clutch fork could interfere with driveline. AA might be the only right way to go with the Chevy input shaft. I'm no expert but have done a little research.

    CUCV turbo and nv4500 swap

This is true. AA makes a bellhousing but it doesn't have a boss for the pivot ball linkage if you choose to go that route. They offer a bracket to install the ball.

    CUCV turbo and nv4500 swap

Bellhousing choice will depend on trans or input choice. Dodge 1 1/8 x 10 input will allow you to use a chev bellhousing. My factory SM small block bell cleared my starter easily.

I do not think they are terribly concerned about putting that money back in their pockets. These are the same folks that spend $900 on a hammer. I honestly think that if it weren't for public accountability, they would give all the surplus away to friends and donors. I understand the state vs...

For arguments sake, lets say that all the lawyers on this site are right and that there is a way to overcome the stamp. All well and good but do you think for a second that DLA can't backtrack and say, "No more soup for you, and you, and you, and you"? For whatever reason, an agreement has...

    Floor Shifter / Reverse Lights

That is a hand throttle or at least that is what we do with them.

    Looking for a simple 1,5" - 2,5" Lift Kit for the M1008 / K30

This is a viable solution. If it were my truck I would limit the body lift to about an inch. That gives you 2" total and might be just enough. I've run 33" tires without a lift but stuck with narrow wheels.

Recovery done, I-71 columbus, Oh to southeast Indiana.

Be safe Mike, enjoy the ride Sir. Stay warm.

    Contact truck box

Is this the joker with the gas powered welder? If so, that item alone is heavier than a pallet of anvils. Probably 1000#. The box that I used on my trailer was on blocks when I arrived to get it. The Dodge that it came off was in the yard. I used 2 12' 4x4 beams, cinder blocks and a bumper...

    Ok road trip MV related

Wow, no on the road updates or pics? That was somewhat boring Sir!

Hmm, can't say that I recall one. When ari indicated that he knew of no MVs with the FMVSS sticker, I simply advised that mine had them. There was no mention of "other than CUCVs" and that is all I own now!

    Nv4500 swap

As far as the pedal assy goes, 73-84 used mechanical linkage and didn't change much. 85-87(91) went to the desirable and pricy hydraulic clutch pedal. Either could be made to work. I did an SM465 swap on my SECM last yr and it used mechanical stuff. Worked pretty well too. I've been cursing...

    Best source for 700R4?

Considering all that you have done to your truck, this should be a walk in the park.

    All of mine have them.
