Really nice - and having a sidekick that can "go jeepin" with you will be a lot of fun! Glad you didn't get "rooked" by the jeep fixers (Not!) and doing it yourself made it more yours! Congratulations on the motor swap and the family too.

I really liked the pull string (wire) that you have rigged on the plywood - so you could remove the board and the transmission in one easy pull. Not sure how easy it was, but it sure seemed like a good idea...

You never know... If you happen to stumble across the right person - you might get the answer you need. In days gone by and in situations like this if you don't get a flat outright NO trying to "play the clock" may help. Keep yourself a time log for phone calls. Trying to get a different...

Am I missing something?
CTIS sets all tires in the Central Tire Inflation System to the same pressure.
Granted, front at one pressure and the rears at another is perfectly normal, but not with CTIS.

I could spend days walking around looking at pieces and parts like that. The old mechanical crane would be neat to have and even neater cleaned up and working. That would take lots of time and effort but the reward at the end could almost be priceless.
As far as mounting it on your 5-Ton...

Thank you for applying your skills to the jeep that you rebuilt. Thanks for supporting their reunion and lighting up the eyes and faces of the men who drove and survived in the service of our country. Even though the public back then didn't welcome them back with open arms - those of us here...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Nice looking truck and it appears that you have a nice patch of dirt to play in up there in Alaska. Hope the transmission swap goes smoothly for you. Give us a blow-by blow as you pull the old out and replace it... Yep, pictures are a big plus!!

Hard part is that just looking at the booster won't tell you a lot... Not that looking isn't good - looking for drips and such - but a rebuild kit is about the best fix.

Some little self-important tyrant is making your life more miserable than it should be.
In The Patriot where Benjamin Martin's statement "Why should I agree to swap one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away?" says a lot. In that particular case, the real...

Another option would be to buy yourself a fairly late model 18 wheeler. Cut the cab off it, then do the same for your Deuce. Bolt the Deuce to the tractor frame then call that good and go fast...
Suggest you stay out of the mud though. A tractor can get stuck with one wheel off in the...

Hi @Chris allen ,
Welcome to the Outfit!
As @Guyfang mentioned - anything you can give us (him actually!) that nails down the numbers on a dataplate for that tractor will help a lot. Somewhere maybe in the cab you should find the military plate that says what the machine is. Snap a picture...

I am so much looking forward to our local library hosting a Touch-A-Truck event here in Charlotte! I have recruited several other kinds of trucks that are Customers of ours. Really looking forward to having a big time doing that next month!!
