Correct on all 3 items but other than cable lengith unless you put a few bends on the gasser to use a multi tach cable to use up the maybe 10" difference, I would think and they look like the same ends. I am headed there wed, I will write the numbers down.

Why would you think you were off time if you did not pull the pump?? The timing adjustment has nothing to do with the HH as Tom stated before. Those marks are for alignment of the HH. You could call them timing marks but the actual timing of the engine is done when the pump is installed...
Tank pump is working fine as so is the plunger. What kind of bad things??? I removed the 2 wired 8-32 slot screws that hold it in and when that is done, the rod moves very free to the compensator. I even removed the compensator to verify that we were ok there.

Got more O-rings for the HH???? Myself, black ops and Evil Dr. Porkchop are trying to get my M-54 to run and today I was dealing with the same issue with a stuck fuel shutoff lever. even with it forward, I am still not getting any fuel to the injectors.
