A 1/2" is like what about 20-30 flats??? A flat is one flat side of a nut. A nut has 6 sides so 4 flats is 2/3 of one full trun. Power on hills is what makes alot of heat. You NEED a pyro gauge!

Most likly the switch. It's either a hyd one or the newer air presure one. Both are under the truck on the air pack I think. Simple fix, with the right parts.
A lot of those truck went to the civil defence and other agency. They had to repaint them and white was one of the colors. The truck was most likly all white but most faded away. The white that is still there stuck better or was thicker than the rest.

I think what he is looking for is a small number on the lower right of the tag, that is the tag number. It will be much smaller in size than any other numbers on the tag.
