There is a 1/8" npt plug on the air cylinder cap. Remove the plug, thread in a nipple, attach a length of hose to it with an air pressure gauge if you have one. Let the truck build air while you are in the cab and then press on the brake pedal and see what the gauge reads. Kind of sounds like...
You'll have to completely flush your brake system every year now you know. Have you built the pressure bleeder linked in the previous posts yet and used it? When you crack the bleed screw on the airpack do you get a good stream of fluid flow from it?
The ones that sold before were a fluke that wasn't supposed to happen and uncle tried very hard to keep people from being able to title them. Most of the loopholes people used to title them at the time have since closed making it even more difficult. Demiling a HMMWV means cutting it up into...
Ok, alright. I was reading that as only 15 psi was allowed across the filters and anything over that was bypassed. Thanks for explaining that, that helps a lot.
I have no intention of eliminating any of the bypasses. I think I'll just shim the oil filter bypass to bump up the flow through the filters AFTER I do a spin on conversion. I know the bypasses are there for a good reason.
Ok, so if I were to mess with the other bypass valves I would damage something. Regulator only it is. Of course the oil filter bypass could be modified after a spin on conversion and some good quality filters. More oil would get filtered that way without bypassing. The cooler valve I'm going to...
I just figured when you are talking about volume of a cylinder, I.e, the bore of the HH, usually it is expressed in a cubic measure. I always thought that apostrophe was a tiny screwed up "3" to be honest. So perhaps I'm mistaken. I don't know the exact bore and stroke of the HH, much less the...
Also, if you are going to play in the mud you are going to have to do regular hub services which includes tearing down each wheel hub assembly, cleaning, and re packing with fresh grease. You don't want to lose a wheel on one of these trucks. It is a real pain and very expensive.
