    Cleaning out large fuel tank

For the Goldenrod filter assembly, the tractor supply water block element is only a 30 micron. Napa carries a 10 micron water block element for it. The number is 4042 Gold.

    Strange Popping Noise Under Load

How far have you gotten with the transmission as of late? Have you inspected the bell housing and flywheel housing for cracks?

    Fuel, contaminated, odd...

I would say that was possible, but it wouldn't have turned the rest of the fuel cloudy in a couple of days. My neighbors have not been by at any time.

    Fuel, contaminated, odd...

I have a couple of 600 gallon fuel pods that I keep full of fuel here and I've never had any issues doing so until recently. Usually I can open the top and see all the way to the bottom. The fuel is normally clear as water with a slight amber tint, and you can see what water is on the bottom if...

    solid tires?

Don't some armored vehicles have foam filled tires? I could have sworn strykers either have or used to have them.

    Road trip to Ringgold Ga.

Zev, I told you I'll fix your deuce. Be patient friend. I may have to draw the line at bringing the wrecker up there though. I am stretched thin here lately and really don't feel comfortable doing that right now. Not that I can't do it another time, I just have to get some monkeys off my back first.

    Cleaning out large fuel tank

I have a few o the aluminum 600 gallon fuel pods over here. If you want one I could probably sell it to you for less than $1 a gallon, which is the going rate for a used fuel storage tank.

    Cleaning out large fuel tank

Crawdaddy, have you put fuel in this tank yet? If not it would be a great idea to weld in a threaded bung in the bottom for draining off water.

    Road trip to Ringgold Ga.

Hey gimp, did taylortrading tell you he delayed me for a week or two pending his bidding on some more stuff down here?

    Spin-on Fuel Filters

Oddshot, what external pump did you use that will provide adequate fuel flow for the engine?

    Steering wheel space: poll

I could and would love to fit a cheerleader on my lap but my wife wouldn't approve...

    Deuce fuse box location?

If you aren't getting power to something it isn't a fuse problem. What issue are you having?

    Newstar hub seals...

I did not grease it where the nut contacts it. I always put rtv there. Like I said I've never had this issue, but I've always used nos hub seals and they are made from a definitively stronger steel. I'll just have to ease up on the torque next time I use a Newstar seal I guess.

    Strange Popping Noise Under Load

Yes, if you had any gears trying to engage when they shouldn't, or teeth that should be engaging not fully engaging then that certainly would have caused all of that.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I've had luck with Napa making fuel lines for 5 tons. Don't know if they will have both of the right fittings for the deuce line but they might.

    Newstar hub seals...

Anyone else have problems using the outer hub seals from Newstar? I was going through one of my hubs today and I put it together and snugged up the inner nut, the locating tab sheared off of the seal. I know I've read of people having this problem before but I don't think it was the Newstar...

    Brake issues....

Easy to lose interest when you aren't making any progress.

    Brake issues....

Interestingly enough, I don't hear air blow off when I work my brakes. Mine seem to work ok.
