I believe that most trailers' rated capacity includes the weight of the trailer. If your trailer is the same, then you can haul less than 10 tons. Add to this fact that the M817 weighs more than 10 tons anyway as Kevin has stated above and I think you ought to have it hauled. I know it is...
I thinks guys are fooling themselves into thinking that it will be business as usual when all of the M44 and M809 series are out of the system. While I am sure the M939 series will come out more readily since they are getting older, I do not expect that we will ever see sales like this again...
I have two NOS vices that were intended for the M936A2s produced by BMY. If you are interested, please PM me. They are in brand new condition with some scuffs from storage...never mounted on a truck.$250 plus shipping. Delivery to Aberdeen is preferable for all parties because (a) it will be...
I think there were different manufacturers of the bows over the years and this might account for the differences. They make extended height bows. I have some for my M814. That same kit came with an extended height one piece 3-color camo vinyl cargo cover.
There were at least two types of vinyl covers that I am aware of. One has the rubberized rope tie downs and the integral front and rear end curtains. The other has ropes and separate front and rear end curtains. Of the two, I much more prefer the first type. The vinyl covers wear a bit...
Vinyl wears a bit better, but the canvas is much more rare and has a more traditional look. A lot depends upon which time period you are trying to represent. If you are not trying to represent a specific time period and you just want a cover, choose the one that you prefer.
Kevin, you can check out my M925A2 for yourself to form your own opinion. The 1400s are plenty big and meaty. I think you will go with them when you see how great they look on my truck. You have a multitude of choices but basically it comes down to this...do you want to keep your truck looking...
Kevin, 1400s are actually the maximum tire size found on the trucks that the military uses. In my opinion, and others would disagree, they look the best. Anything bigger is a bit overkill. The 1400s are available. Feel free to stop by to check out my M925A2 with 1400s on it. Good luck!
Joe Jackson of Titan Transport just called me to say that he is sitting in Scranton, PA with a detach looking for a load. If anyone needs a truck hauled, he is a reputable trucker. He has hauled several trucks for me in the past and I have been very happy. His rates are competitive and he is...
MD: Thanks for the kind comment. I don't have one of those babies, although I drool over them everytime they come up.
BBBC: You should sell them. I might buy one. How much?
ECO, great to talk with you and sorry you had troubles. It was really nice of the "other" guy to relieve you of the jerry can. I've had stuff stolen, too. It sucks to say the least.
I did not think about this at first, but I got a laugh out of it afterwards. I originally clicked on this post because I was thinking, "Hey, cool, someone got another HEMTT" only to find out it was someone modifying their truck. Frankie, I hope you did not screw me up as I want those Goodyear...
