I own a set... It is not just pressed on Coug. After pressing in place it is retained with a very small screw requiring removal with an allen type screwdriver.
EDIT - Sorry if the tone of my post is terse Coug. I'm tired and cranky... My son is choosing colleges. I'm choosing ways to go into debt.
There is a device you can connect to your air compressor for use to spread the half shaft boots and lift them up and over the CV joint.

This is an awesome little thread.
I have one of these devices but I don't think I will install on my current rig. I have gotten used to the switch.
I'm planning on getting a second HMMWV, and if it has a bad switch, now I know what to do.

Knowing what I now know, I would get the plastic cleaned and polished at a marina that is experienced with plastic windows that fade with time.
Gamble, here's the rub...
You asked about "power" [which means electric] doors. AFAIK, unless perhaps POTUS has a special one for himself, there are no "true" power X-doors. Power X-doors would not be EMP proof.
Real X-Doors are sturdy enough, but they rattle, leak water like a sieve, and are...
