Phizer is in Ann Arbor. They may be able to help you also. My F-350 still has the stickers on the doors that say Maquire's Steel Erection with the phone number. I used duct tape to cover up everything except Steel Erection. I did not want the man to think I was operating commercially.

I almost forgot. It is the 100 amp 12 volt isolated ground alt. Not the 28 volt found on some of the other cucv's. Mine is an M1009.

The insulator in the picture is not the one I need. I need the one that is inside the case. It looks like it is fiber.

I had a problem with one alt not charging. It was alt 2. I tore it apart and found the output stud loose. I found that the listed metal link had burned away by the excessive resistance and heat. I now need a new stud with nut, the insulating washer on the inside of the case, and the metal link...

Another thing to mention. When you do speak to someone ask them what law or statute covers what they just told you so that you can look at it yourself and print it out to keep with you in case you get an uninformed officer. If they can't tell you the statute then they are probably just guessing...
