As much as I like manual transmissions in big trucks I have never regretted buying the M927....the prices have been good.....I have seen deuces sell for more than some nice 900 series trucks lately.
I didn't see my name on the list.....I'm assuming it's because I'm bringing the M927 and not driving a CAMO vehicle.......barring any unforseen event (or involuntary commitment to an institute or medical facility) I'll be there with a brace of possums in tow.
Since the deuce is multi-fuel you can put a few gallons of gasoline (make sure you get pure gas...no ethenol mix) in there and it won't gel up unless you are waaaaaay below zero.
I would take the truck to a gas station and put some in the tank.....drive around for a while to get it mixed...
The batteries in the 900 series are better protected and would prob be hot enough to crank the "Nifty 250" unless it was sub-zero and they had been out in the cold a long time.
Most commercial trucks only had two batteries back in the day and they stated fine.
There is one of those mounted on a M200 genny trailer a few miles from here.
The old guy that owns it has several M151's and a ton of parts for the same....he is not a member here and says he don't do the compter thing. He is retired military and worked at Fort McClellan for 20 years after...
Lost in the bush......I prob won't have my Paid Invoice by then. We'll see what happens.
Does anyone have the GL Lockborn office and fax number so I don't have to call Arizona to get it.
If so please PM them to me.
BUMP
The list above has been edited to reflect my inventory.
I'll be taking the remainder to the MVPA rally at Tannehill State Park next weekend with the intent of having a fire sale.
PM me your final orders......the last mail order I'll send out will be next Wednesday (Oct. 31) and then...
Since PC is on the "Redneck Riviera" you might put it in the hands of an agent that will rent it out by the week for vacationers. Sometimes you make more money than having a regular tenent.
My thought was that you could errect the frame using silp together joints made with the muffler tube machine. These would be pinned together much like the stock frame.
You could then roll the tent up in a tube and set it up top and then roll it out puting the gromets on the pegs as you go...
My intent (no pun intented) was to buy at least ten of them and have a buddy of mine fab up some frames using light weight tubing (he owns a muffler shop).
If I had put a min bid in on all of them I might have got ten but I might also have ended up with fifty. Some sold for less than 200 but a...
Was I supposed to get his stuff??????
Was it at Redstone.....WTF.....over!!!!!!
I don't want anyone to make a special trip for it.....it's not worth it for one tent.
I may work out a deal with Eagle to sell it.
I'll give Jeff an "A" for effort in trying to save as many as he can.
He can tell you some horror stories about what the gooberment is doing with up-armored trucks out at Camp Shelby.
When the M900 series tractors were coming out in droves they were selling cheap and being driven out of the...
I won one tent out of Lockborn today. My intention was to get at least ten but the best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray.
So I need someone to get that one and hold it for me or buy it for what I have in it (about 200 bucks).
These tents were sold without frames (your DRMO goofs at...
